Terrible news, seriously. At least his daughter survived the crash, but just shity he didn't make it. If anyone here has any sort of way of contacting some of his family, would be great if they could just let them know they have our condolences. The guy was a highly valued member to many across multiple forums. This is a real loss.

Boy, 2012 has just been so shitty, I caught this news through Bernie on FB and felt terrible.   Most of us are Dads and can imagine what that would mean for us and our sons/daughters/wives in that situation.  *sigh/smh*

Yep thats what I was thinking. Really glad his daughter survived. In a shity situation like this, the only thing I could think of worse is both of them being killed, or him surviving and losing his daughter, which as a parent, I know it would have destroyed him. I was extremely lucky to survive a head on collision earlier this year. Air bags were defective and did not activate and I was thrown forward into the steering column pretty hard. Had my kids been in the car with me, whoever would have been in the front passenger seat would have been killed or seriously injured for sure. The steering wheel is basically the only thing that kept me from slamming my head through the windshield, as the seat belts gave too much slack and did not keep people in place in the shoulder area of the seat really in that car.

Oh no...

I am just so deeply shocked about reading this terrible news can't even put the right words together.
He was such a cool and fun-loving person.
Really terrible loss to the community and the world.

When he was still living in Japan, we once had a meet-up in Akihabara and we had a really good and funny time togther going through all the retro shops, buying some stuff here and there and making non-stop jokes about this and that.
We also made funny plans about opening a Swiss-Canada Chalet together in Akihabara with rustily interior, traditional food and games and stuff.

Also I was shocked to hear about his own family problems he had when he moved back to Canada, which involved a divorce and fighting for his daughters parental rights etc.
He was very unhappy at times, but he was was always strong and took it like a real man.

Also my deepest condolences going out to all his family members and that his daughter will be fine in the future, also without her loving daddy next to her :(

You sure will be remembered forever in our hearts.

Fare well my friend and R.I.P. :(

My heart just fell to my gut, this is terrible. He and I have been talking a lot more recently, I can't believe he's gone.

You'll be missed, my friend.

Man... I really don't know what to say.  We messaged back and forth a few times.  I'm not sure why this is impacting me as much as it is.  I didn't know him, but I did you know?  I'm extremely saddened by this news and at the same time I'm so grateful his daughter survived.

Wow... just wow.  My prayers go out to his entire family.
I'm busy playing pinball, but I still drop by to visit.
