So Roy,  since this guy decided to up his price to $570 from $350, was this you who used BIN as he relisted it?  Just wondering since the lot looks awefully familiar and the reseller who it was sold to originally never got the $350 deal.

Without totally derailing Roys thread here, just to update on my little venture to USPS today to ship Sparkys package. From my state to Sparky it was $3.60 for First Class International for 4.4oz. Customs form was a lot smaller then what it was when I had to mess with the stuff a few years back, and I no longer had to fill out more then one copy which was nice. Anyway, took all of 3 mins to do. Granted, I have zero desire to do this again unless it is raffle related, because I prefer USPS pick up stuff from my house and all. But I mean, if I was still making regular trips down to USPS and the sale was just a small forum purchase and the buyer accepted responsibility concerning no insurance or tracking, this should not be that big a deal for someone doing regular trips there.  Again, I stress, only if I was still making regular trips to USPS. I stopped doing that though a year ago because it was just a waste of gas money and time, so its no longer ideal for someone like me.

They have them for you to take home as well.  :)  I always keep a bunch onhand for my Canadian friends, especially Swiss!

It was.  He listed it once at auction, took it down, relisted for $350 buy it now and it was sold, then relisted at $570 when I got it.  The auction details and conditions were far from true.  Nothing was "scratch free" as the auction stated.  Cases broken, manuals missing, games scratched.  On one hand I was happy to get it at the price I did, on the other I was annoyed by the fact everything looked like shit when it arrived.  One of the CD games in the lot even had food stuck all over it.  Anyway, instead of reselling it on eBay I brought them here.
All is well. :)

I got the pic of DE II up on the main post on the first page, I also got Gozilla's up.  Just for fun though to show the condition of the worst one.  Here is the Lords of Thunder that I got.  Keep in mind the description said all the Cds were "scratch free".  Don't get me wrong here, I'm not bitching at the deal I got, just the fact that they wern't close to the condition he said they were in.

Man that sucks.  I'd be happy if they played.  Normally scratches in the same direction as the CD 'grooves' are fine, but the one like on DEII can be deadly.  I'm surprised it still works.  I guess it's not a deep gouge.
I'm busy playing pinball, but I still drop by to visit.

Damn that sucks, I was about to pull the trigger when I recognized the auction and saw his feedback that he screwed the original buyer.  That didn't give me confidence that the $570 sale would end well so I passed.  I doubt you can make your money back given the condition of these but good luck anyhow.

Sold one of the big ones I listed and decided to sit on a few of the games for a little while. I removed the ones I'm holding on to from the sale. They'll be back up at another date.
All is well. :)

If the others are even half as bad as that Lords disc scratch wise, I would just go ahead and get them resurfaced. In the short run they are going to load, sure, because the data is usually the 2nd track and all, and if not totally covered in scratches there you should get some game play. But with scratches that deep and wide all over the place, music is eventually going to skip in parts.

Luckily Lords of Thunder was the worst of the lot by a mile.  None of the other discs even came close to how thoroughly loved it apparetly was.
All is well. :)

You know what you should do Professor?  Take that photoshop of Steven Hawking coming off the top ropes on to my fantastically pristine copy of LoT.  Would make my day!

You know you could probably press the guy for a partial refund for the damaged items. I mean, worth a shot. If the stuff was sent to me roughed up I would.
