Get it if you want to complement the experience somehow. My main machine is a modded Duo-R, but sometimes I use my TG16 to play the US releases or use the GOY card (which is a pain to insert on the Duo-R).

Pardon my ignorance, but exactly what is a GOY card?

Um...they're the same system.

Seriously. Same thing. The same code running on the same processor. They flipped a couple of pins on the HuCard slot and made everything sold in the US hella ugly. None of this makes them different systems.

If you want some US games, but them. If you want some JP games, buy them. I don't see much point in getting an actual TG16 system since it has unique controller ports and only works with one CDROM2 system.

It's like saying, I already have a corvette.

Should I buy the same car with the steering wheel on the wrong side?

The answer is nope.

Region mod the PCE you have and just buy the games.   Unless you really like your consoles big and black.

Does it though?  This is obv. nitpicky, but seeing as the external bus should be similar, can you not RAU-30 a TG-16?
And maybe with the rare LT adaptor it will fit a SCD.  I mean in general, you're right, I'm just wondering.

RAU 30 is to attach a super grafx to a CDThingy.  I don't know if it will physically attach to a TG16.   Ill check at home.
