Hey all,
I have had a turbografx 16 for some time now with the following games

Chase HQ
Dungeon Explorer
Ghost Manner
Jackie Chan Action Kung Fu
Keith Courage: In Alpha Zones
Neutopia 2
Order of the Griffin
Parasol Stars
Tricky Kick
TV Sports Football
TV Sports Hockey

sometimes last week i decided on a whim to go and get a turbo duo as i have most of they systems from atari up to PSP and i won the following auction:

http://cgi.ebay.com/Turbo-Grafx-Duo-System-in-box-w-46-games_W0QQitemZ8261758550QQcategoryZ4315QQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem

I haven't received the item yet so i haven't got to test any of the games i just knew from what i read in the past Ys was a must and i got all 4 so i would think i did all right for myself

My question is what else do i need to pick up to complete my collection i'm not really picky as to game type do enjoy RPGs though.

Beyond Shadowgate is one i will be picking up, one of the next few times somone posts it on ebay, and the dracula x game i would like to own but may be a bit to expensive for my tastes at the time.  So what other games are must haves for Turbo grafx 16 or turbo duo

Thanks all
Mike Palmisano

Holy crap, that's quite a haul and should last you for some time, I'd say.  But I don't see Lords of Thunder in there, and that's a definite must-own.

By the way, this is the wrong forum for this thread, but I'm sure Aaron'll move it.

And...welcome to the forums!
Games I Need: Bonk 3 (HuCard), Legend of Hero Tonma, Magical Chase, Soldier Blade, Super Air Zonk.

Got one to sell? PM me!

Again i want to thank everyone for there kindness and replies, i am already watching a few auctions on some of the games that have been mentioned and i am just eager to finally receive my system so i can start trying out some of the ones i already have.  Should be any day now.  Another question that i have is there any stores online where i could purchase a new second controller?  I know there was a store posted on here a while back that was liquadating its stock and was selling them for $10 but sadly i did not have my duo at the time.  In any case i definitely need a second controller is ebay my only option?
Thanks

Welcome to the forums!

Air Zonk is another one you should check out! NEC made history when they made the ill-fated mistake to NOT support the system in the states, until it was too late. I never cared for the whole bits war, as long as the games rocked, and they ROCKED HARDER ON THE TG-16/PC-ENGINE!!!!!!!

I treat my DUO like it is gold, and only people who appreciate someone elses property, especially an NEC lover may even touch my duo. I have dedicated a part of my heart to the pc-engine, and it has brought me so many years of happiness, and i could never love another system as much. I like so many game systems, but this one is my all time favorite.

i LOVE shooters, and this system never let me down in that genre. Action games as well were plenty,a nd i loved them on here. Most of all, even if i couldn' stand one genre(like rpg's....sorry gang) i still appreciated that the system had SO much to offer for the casual gamer to choose from, as well as the die hard gamer/NEC freak. Whoever designed this sytem knew that they were making something special, as it seemed like they had lots of heart to make something as simple as an 8 bit machine pump out so much more power to come off as one incredible and lovable piece of hardware. that sound and those graphics ....WOW!  not only that......history was made with the add-on cd attachment. CD games with cinema's and real speech, as well as incredible audio, was never before seen on any other game system.

I love the pc engine, and i thank NEC all the time in my head for making it, as well as keping it alive for so many years when so many other systems were trying to push it out of the market.  Not many systems lasted as long as the pc engine when it ran along side the 32/64 bit market. March 6th, 1999 saw the final release with Dead of the Brain I&II. that's 16 years of NEC gaming material. between hu-cards,a nd cd/scd/acd, you have a HUGE library of whatever you like to play. Now you have homebrew releases coming out frmo Mindrec.com, as well as Frozen Utopia,a nd even never before attempted projects, that were thought impossible, but became possible(albeit with not so great results),such as the "Super Hu-card" cd, that had a bunch of hu-card roms on cd. it was buggy, but MAN what a great idea, and a NOBLE attempt!!!!

Beautiful gaming history lay behind that little precious white box, and i will always be so fond of it.

Enjoy yer kick butt system dude!
