Is this a pac man clone basically?  What system card is needed?

It needs SystemCard 3.0.

It's more than a pacman clone.   There's powerups, multiple enemies/tilesets, scrolling maps, and music!

I'd call it pacman on steroids - while the concept is very similar, there is a lot more to it with the different enemies on each level, down right huge maps, and power-ups that add several layers of strategy.  Yeah while it's not a huge action packed platformer or RPG, it's a very good puzzler/strategy game programmed solidly with a lot of attention to detail on gameplay. Looks good, sounds alright, and most importantly it's a lot of fun. (running from those damn skeletons is quite exciting 8-[ - and a pain they keep getting me #-o)  It is a must try.

If Ark doesn't mind me putting in my 2 cents.

Now to get a decent high score...

BT: Look at how the fake SFII' carts instantly sold out and were immediately listed on eBay before the flippers even took possession. Look at Nintendo's overpriced bricks. Look at the typical forum discussions elsewhere.

You're allowed to put in whatever cents you want :)

I don't mind.   We kind of need feedback to know how we did!

I will say that making the music was a giant pain.   I tried to get Egyptian sounding music for the levels, complete with 80s-arcade-esque soundeffects.  It wasn't easy to get the tunes to happen. :(

That is hands down the coolest homebrew packaging art! Love everything about it, especially the 80's style font!

Yeah, purty cool, looks very professional/authentic. I do find the "Prepare for your greatest adventure!" marketing bit a little suspect, though... ;) But yeah, it is very cool to see that fans can produce CD games for an old system and get them pressed.

A save file that isn't in all uppercase???
Is it supposed to be all uppercase? I swear I remember a few games being mixed case.....
I'm just sorry it's such a big file. That's  what happens when you save 40 scores.

It's a maze-style game, yes. But I wouldn't exactly call it a Pac-Man clone. It's closer to something like Cratermaze, IMO.
Games I Need: Bonk 3 (HuCard), Legend of Hero Tonma, Magical Chase, Soldier Blade, Super Air Zonk.

Got one to sell? PM me!

Just that every game I've played so far had the save files in all uppercase. I figured they were all like that. Not a big deal, just felt like picking is all. It's all good.

Game is great and a lot of fun, that's what really matters. Poses a challenge in the later levels which is good.

Mine arrived! Happy to be Arkhan's guinea pig for the (INSANELY SWEET!) poster packaging!

The game arrived in one piece too. Aside from the sticky residue left on the front case from the packaging tape, there aren't any cracks, broken hinges or anything.

This was a really, really well done effort! The poster looks like it could easily pass as 80's/90's full page ad you'd find a gaming magazine, from the fleshed out hand drawn art down to the energy-driven marketing!

Amazing stuff, Aetherbyte raises the bar again! :D

Adding PCE console specific layer on top of that, makes for an interesting challenge (no, not a reference to Ys II).

I'd like to get that poster, but I already have a plethora of posters that I have no wear to hang. :?

Yeah, the sticky residue kinda sucks.  But, it was that or let the game flop around and break the poster.

It should come off, I hope.  If not, we can fix that.

I'm glad it arrived in one piece though.   The poster boxes are goofy.  They should've just made square ones.
