Monster Hunter 3: Ultimate. Post up Nintendo ID's
« on: March 17, 2013, 04:05:33 AM »
So Monster Hunter 3: ultimate drops on Tuesday (3/19) I know a lot of people who own the Wii U will be playing this. So this thread is to discuss the game and exchange Nintendo ID's. It would be cool if some of us could hunt together. Ill get things started with my ID:Munchi

I'm on the fence with this one. The demo was weird at first, but it grew on me after I killed the giant bunny. Is the multiplayer fun?

i only played Monster hunter Tri for a bit, but what multiplayer i did play was really fun,and the game is meant to be played with other people. If you want to get a better idea o fthe game, i have been watching these videos and they are pretty helpful

I heard this game takes a lot of dedication...  which is why I don't think I want to get it.  These RPG type games are just too much work.

I have 12 Wii U games and after this comes out, I will probably still have 12 Wii U games.  Would like to hear your impressions nonetheless.

Ill be sure to post up what i think. You are correct that this game does take alot of time. The reason why i didnt get into Tri to much was because i was already way to focused on playing street fighter 4. But this time around i really want to dig into the game. I plan on hosting some gatherings at my place and getting some of my friends into it. Maybe ill make some videos of us hunting together

Really interested in the 3DS version, since I and a friend already do a lot portable monster hunting with the PSP (slowly but surely making our way through high rank in Portable 3rd with english patch), but the lack of a 3DS complicates matters...and I'm not really in a position to get one right away either....hm :S Ah well, have fun with that hunting, peeps!

Monster Hunter Tri for the wii always intrigued me.  I have never played or even seen, just read about it.  Is it something you can pick up and play for 20 mins at a time?  Or is it much more involved than that?

Time consuming when it comes to monster hunter it's not a pick'up and play type of game.

The portable (or at least the PSP games) ones are somewhat that since you can always pause the game and put the system to sleep. But overall, as a game, it's pretty time consuming and can easily get a bit boring by yourself. MH is pretty much all about the group hunting experience, even though you will have to do some single hunting as well in order to farm materials. :-k

Finally got to play today after staying up til 3 am and beating Ni no Kuni last night. So far i have just done the first quest. Trying out all the weapons, and i like the long sword so far. I have only used the great sword, long sword, dual blades, and hammer so far.

Just came home from picking this game up. Settled into my favorite recliner, 32 ozs of Powerade, and put the kid down for a nap. Too bad it's Sunday and I have to work tomorrow...

Question: I have 2 character files on my Wii U version (one for me, and one for my gf) I transferred my character over to my 3ds game so me and my gf could play together. After we played i go to transfer my character back to the Wii U version and it states " there was an error, delete the data on the Wii U version to transfer the character"
One: Is there a way to just delete 1 character file and not both.
Two: if there is no way to delete just 1 character file, does this mean i have to buy 3 versions of the game for 2 people in the same house hold to enjoy the game together?
