Are gunlances in this version? Because I love gunlances, they're my go to weapon of choice  Badass and satisfying.

Gun lance is in

Question: I have 2 character files on my Wii U version (one for me, and one for my gf) I transferred my character over to my 3ds game so me and my gf could play together. After we played i go to transfer my character back to the Wii U version and it states " there was an error, delete the data on the Wii U version to transfer the character"
One: Is there a way to just delete 1 character file and not both.
Two: if there is no way to delete just 1 character file, does this mean i have to buy 3 versions of the game for 2 people in the same house hold to enjoy the game together?

So i figured out the issue. I had to make a separate Wii U user account for my g/f, i also lost about 3 hours of gameplay time from playing on the 3DS.

On to other news. The game is alot of fun, and i'm really enjoying playing solo or online with friends. Just took down Rathian last night and it was a blast

The game is really fun! My wife plays on our 3DSXL, and I on the Wii U. Haven't tried anything online though, but we have quested together.

I'm not very far yet. Just got all the Jaggi equipment, and only have one quest to go to complete all the level 2 ones (its the bear trap).

So, in order to transfer from the 3DS, you originally have to start the game from the Wii U first?
Original owner of a TG-16 since 1989!

CURRENTLY PLAYING:
Vita - Conception 2
PS3 - Tales of Graces f
Wii U - Monster Hunter 3 Ulltimate

The Bear is super easy, shouldn't have any issues. I have yet to do the 1 star fishing quest. I tried and i couldnt get goldenfish, so i said f*ck it.

I dont think you have to start the game on the Wii U first. My issue was i transferred my character from the Wii U to the 3ds, then i made a character for my g/f on the Wii U, we played together, then i tried to transfer the data back to the Wii U and it said i had to delete the data on the Wii U first, which would have deleted my g/f's character

So you guys can play together, online, one using your Wii U AND the other a 3DSxl?

Well it has to be local play. The 3ds version cannot be played online. The Wii U version can.

Soo...my MH friend got both the Wii U version and the 3DS version, thus I've been playing around a little bit with it on 3DS. While not having access to that 2nd thumbstick addon, the touch-d-pad "works". At least better than I imagined it would. Still feels weird that I cannot do the PSP "claw grip", finding my fingers trying to execute it all the time.

Since I have no prior experience with Tri before, it sure feels different than the PSP games. And really bewildering, especially the menus, they're really different. Not sure about you guys but I found text on the 3DS screen hard to read, partially because it upon closer inspection looked interlaced. The screens ability to do 3D is probably to blame for that, anyway.
Still quite fun, we tried out the Wii U/3DS local multiplayer a bit as well. That dang songbird called in a Rathian  - less than good times were had since we still were using the starter equipment. Still beat it tho'

Despite some oddities, it feels pretty promising :) Too bad I don't have a 3DS/Wii U of my own yet. Must say that the 3DS's speakers are surprisingly good for being jammed into such a cramped space.

Im on vacation right now in buffalo NY. I went to the local play N trade to play some fighting games, brought my 3ds with me, and there were 3 other people playing MH. So we all hunted together. Took down the barrioth, niblesnarfe, and the volcanic dragon (forget his name) The game is so much fun when playing with people

I have been in that Play N Trade a few times, it is a pretty decent store.  I never have done any gaming there, though it seems they get a pretty decent crowd in there.

What brought you to Buffalo for vacation?  Seems like an odd time of the year to come?

The Play N Trade in the north town is really nice. I'm just here to visit family, friends and eat good food. I decided to come out around this time, because my brother was also visiting at this time. Also my mom is moving out to Arizona later this month, so this would be the last time i would be in Buffalo with her.

I also went to oogie games. Most of the stuff there was over priced. Plus a lot of my buffalo friends say the people who work there are jerks. Do you know of any other game stores in buffalo?

Lastly... the Mighty Taco Nacho buffito is amazing.

I recommend going to Super Flea if you are here Saturday or Sunday.  The flea market is kind of a dump, but that adds to the appeal.  It is located real close to the Galleria Mall.  When buying old games locally, the flea market is my #1 stop.

Try to get to Nine-Eleven Tavern in South Buffalo for some hot wings and delicious french fries.  You definitely won't regret it.

It kind of bums me out that the 3DS version lacks online. It'd make the game a lot more fun. I suppose I'll stop being lazy and get a Wii U sometime though.
