I'm gonna attempt to replace the caps in my DUO but who knows via a reputable mail order or online (not evil-bay) that sells the screwdriver bit to open up the DUO's cover? I live out in the boonies and not even the big hardware store chains carry them.
I opened my Duo-R with a regular screwdriver. Took 40 minutes, but I did it.

The Duo-R does too. That is why it took me 40 minutes to open it with a regular screwdriver. It was hard as hell, but I did it. I was determined to do it.
Adding PCE console specific layer on top of that, makes for an interesting challenge (no, not a reference to Ys II).
You must be referring to a flat head screw driver. Wow, I'm impressed at your skills that you were able to open one with one of those . I read on one of those TG16 modding sites than you can cut the center of a flat head screw driver and it can work as one of those toolbits.
I might have to try that with my SNES.
You can't. Those screws are completely different and using a regular screwdriver for that is impossible.Try melting a pen and push it onto the screw, that'll work fairly well if you do it right. Check this out!
