I will be attempting a visit from the New York Area.  Either Plane or Train seems like round trip will be about 125ish.  Once out there with the help of locals I hope to get around to a hotel and the VGS.   Anyone else in the area interested making the trip with me and meeting up with some PCFXers? (possibly seeing about sharing some cost)

Awesome man. I might make the trip out too, but the logistics are abit harder (I haz a famly) :P

Gah!  I so want to join in again.  But it looks like I'll be moving/settling in during this year's Turbo Fest. :(  It was one of the highlights of last year for me so I will do everything I can to make it, but right now it doesn't look like it's in the books.

Last year was awesome. Won't be able to make it this year, but hopefully I'll be able next year.

For those of you who can attend, well, attend!!! You'll have a blast. Apart from the Turbo, systems like the Jaguar and the Neo Geo AES are also there.

I second that. Hook up the main turbob to the good ol dazzle and there you go. If logistics don't allow for live streaming, perhaps a "tape" delay on YT.

I'm planning on bringing my Neo Geo AES, my Sharp X68000 and potentially my PCE briefcase setup if we need another one.

Also should have a TV or two to bring.

Thanks for the kind words you guys, much appreciated!

It was nice meeting you last year, rolf. I am glad you had a great time. Hopefully the stars will align themselves so you can join us again this year. :)

How about starting an east coast turbob caravan, going?  :D

MAINE RESIDENTS: It's not fair that VGS occurs the same weekend that I'm in Maine. WHOEVER LIVES IN MAINE, I'll be in the Damariscotta area so we can have our own MaineFest.

I think Maine would be a much better destination during the winter amongst 12 inches of snow. ;)

That is an excellent idea! I'm not tech savvy, maybe someone can help with that?

Also should have a TV or two to bring.

CRT Tvs with composite hookups would be very useful if you could bring one or two. It is a bit challenging for me to fit all these tvs and systems in my small car.

I'll bring whatever is wanted.  Maybe the nuon?

We could use an X68000 set up, same spot as last year. You are welcome to bring a nuon if you'd like. If we have empty spaces, we can definitely get a set up going.

I'll have to try and make it to this one. However, there is no way I'd even get there until at least 2pm or so since I require my beauty sleep. Ha.

It would be great to tear up some bomberman. I might even try to bring my bass player from my band since we grew up together on that game.

You live pretty close to Chicago so theres no excuse for you not to make it!  :D

Chany:

Anything planned for Friday night before VGS? Galloping Ghost, etc? Trying to figure out what hotel nights to book.

Count Ash and me in. Chany, as always I will provide anything you need. With one exception...I think my days of lugging TVs around are coming to an end. With my arthritis it just isn't possible for me anymore. MGC this year nearly killed me.

Any chance of setting up a small Sega section? I have a beautiful Sega CD model 1 and some "rare" games that people might not get a chance to try. I would really like to snatch up Snatcher sometime before the show. What I can offer at this point would be games like Popful Mail, Soul Star, Android Assault, Robo Aleste. I will add more once I think of them.

Esteban, you make me cry.

@Jeff: the tentative plan will be similar to last year for Friday. We will visit the stores in Chi-town, lunch, and then Galloping Ghost at night.

@Mathius: Glad to hear you and Ash will be making the trip. :) I'm not sure if we will have space in room where the Turbo Fest room is, but if there are empty vendor spots, you are more than welcome to have the system there. There is also room in the main room, but I would imagine you would want to keep a close eye on your stuff.

Yeah I would want it where I will be hanging out. It's just a thought since the system doesn't get much love at shows. It's not a big loss if it doesn't happen. :)

Having a Sega CD would be a great adition to the show. Such classics as Batman Returns, the Terminator, Road Avenger, Final Fight...

Yeah, so true. Sega CD does have some good titles. I'll see what I can and let you know. :)
