Agreed - tons of cool Japanese magazines out there!

I have an issue of a magazine which seems promising:

Issue 5, 2007 of Animation Note


This issue focuses on anime backgrounds, and also features a (not overly elaborate) step-by-step look at the BG creation process. Still, quite interesting. There seems to be even more interesting issues out there (like this, but this is the only one I have at the moment

I recently found out that there is a "Gameside" series all about 2D action games. My brain just about melted. I so need to learn how to read this language!!!!
