"... don't do it."

Is what I thought the opening post of this thread was going to be.

Well, now you have a 'limited edition' Twin Famicom.

Somewhat similar story on my end.  My kids first system was an N64.  One day one of my sons comes to me with the N64 in his hands and tells me him and his brother put a quarter in it.  He shook it and I could hear the quarter inside.

In my infinite wisdom I thought it would be best to give them a guilt trip and tell them how bad of an idea it was and that now the system is ruined and we would have to throw it away.  See where this is going? I figure I'll let the kids stew on it for a few days before taking the quarter out.  I ask them where the system is and as you guessed, they threw it in the trash with all the games.  Worst part? It was trash day the day before and a N64 with all their games went to the dump.

Watch what you say to your kids, lesson learned....
All is well. :)

Wow, guess they didn't care all that much about it... So it's a safe bet that 15 years from now, they won't be hanging around a N64 retro forum, hunting physical carts down, bitching about gouging, talking about mods for the system, offering repairs, etc. eh ?? ;)

Ha! I think this may have been due to the fact that Roy's entire N64 library consisted of 3 games: Blues Brothers 2000, Blues Brothers 2000 and Blues Brothers 2000.

Both of my girls know that they need to stay far, far away from my consoles. My son doesn't know these things, but they are always kept out of his reach anyway, and my Duo sits on my desk, which I'm almost always at, so it's safe. :)
