A Visit to YESTERcades in Red Bank NJ
« on: June 13, 2013, 07:19:37 AM »

This is one of my favorite places to visit.  I don't get to go as often as I like due to my work schedule but I strongly recommend a visit.  I wanted to post a video I made of YESTERcades on Broad Street in Red Bank NJ. It is IMHO an extremely well done Arcade and very nostalgic. The owner is a true fan of classic gaming and really into the gaming industry in general.  I've donated a bunch of games (Most recently Metal Slug 5) and you can actually trade games for playing time.  From time to time they have tournaments like Smash Brothers or Mario Kart.  Great place to be and a clean atmosphere.

My Vid is a bit dark in places but you get the point, strongly recommend visiting this place if you get a chance.

Turbos in the display case made me happy.

Turbos actually out to play = awesome.

Tons of arcades/games from my childhood.  I'd love to visit this place, too bad it isn't close enough.  :-({|=
All is well. :)

A journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step.  There is so much to do in Red Bank and the Jersey Shore.  Take a trip, spend some money.

They owner has a secret stash downstairs of much rarer stuff and arcade games being repaired.  Boxed turbo duo, modding a Turbo Express with a larger screen, nice collection of U.S. Neo Geo Karts.  A true game fan living the dream.

I just cheked this out not to long ago. really neat place!
NW: Hey, I made it on this psycho's Enemies' List, how about that ?? ;)

BT: Look at how the fake SFII' carts instantly sold out and were immediately listed on eBay before the flippers even took possession. Look at Nintendo's overpriced bricks. Look at the typical forum discussions elsewhere.

You can't tell most retro gamers anything!

They hung out a bunch in Leonardo at the Quick Stop and slung some goods.  Cool guys.  Red Bank is an awesome place to begin with, great night life and a quick express train to the city.
