this is why our games are getting more "valuable"

the other day, i found this:

Looking for Super Nintendo 64 (with add ons?) (Omaha)
My 6 year waiting period is over! I have had a Super Mario Bros with Duck Hunt for Nintendo 64 for 6 years and I want to know if it works! Never had the chance to play it. I found it in an abandoned house when I was younger and kept it ever since. Now I want a console to play it!! :]

I am looking for a Super Nintendo 64. Games, cords, controllers, or anything corresponding with it is always welcome! Specific games I'm looking for are Mario Kart Racing, Donkey Kong, or any other classics (I'm a tad rusty remembering all the games I used to play as a kid). I'm looking for a reasonable price. I will not go any higher than 60 for the console alone. If you had any add-ons like controllers or games especially, we can talk about pricing.

and then today,  this:

I have a Super Nintendo 64 for sale. Comes with 3 games, 2 controllers. All you need is a AV cord. I bought this on accident. I wanted an Original Nintendo instead of this one.

Email me with inquiries and price.

there's usually idiots in any hobby, but really?
honestly, this crap always annoyed me; is it really that hard to look up a game on youtube and figure out what system it's for?
or i mean, god forbid you look at the games and stop to think "hmm, these games look different, why?"

THIS MADE MY DAY
NW: Hey, I made it on this psycho's Enemies' List, how about that ?? ;)

BT: Look at how the fake SFII' carts instantly sold out and were immediately listed on eBay before the flippers even took possession. Look at Nintendo's overpriced bricks. Look at the typical forum discussions elsewhere.

You can't tell most retro gamers anything!

yeah, i'm kinda convinced that my area is full of this crap.
I once was selling a spare snes and nes on CL, got an offer on the snes and we set up a meeting.
I got there, and there was this girl who was just a bit older than myself, talking on the phone to someone and hrming and hahing about it.
finally "don't the games go in the front? i don't see a slot."
"what game did you want to play?"
"mario."
"which one?"
"there's more than one?"

After that, it's all a blur, the next thing i remember, i'm driving away from a swamp in southern Alabama.

Don't worry, most of them are looking for Mario and a small fraction for Sonic, there are little to no newbies like that looking for teh Zonks. :P
