Give him negative feedback.  A good seller would suck it up and eat their mistake.

Sorry you see it that way.  If I change my mind, its my business.  No reason to punish by screwing up someones feedback.  Good to know how you feel though, lets me know who not to deal with on here.  :)

How dare he punish someone for f*cking up!!!

Speaking of making this personal: I guess you can add me to your list of people to not deal with on here.

lol.  There was a smile at the end of that statement.  :)  Cmon you cannot think I was serious.

On another note..  I have to say I give in here.  I guess I did deserve the negative after really thinking about it.  I know what I did was a little different, as I wasn't trying to re-list it for more monies, but in the end it's the same.  ugh..  I hate admitting I am wrong...

I would leave a negative. The point of the auction is once it is complete it is a binding contract basically between the buyer and seller, and both are required to complete the transaction. The seller had ample chance to set the prices when he did the initial listing, including a chance to review the auction listing before posting it, and the amount he entered he did so on his own for the starting bid amount. His fault. This is not one of those things you can really chalk up to being a mistake. Its sellers remorse which is totally different, and auctions don't allow wiggle room for the such. If you cant be willing to honor your own auctions then you don't need to be on ebay. If I have a item end for less then I wanted initially, I suck it up and complete the transaction. Its my problem, not the buyers.

Open a claim with eBay first.

Watch him flail around.

If you don't get your game, leave negative feedback.

If you do get your game, leave negative feedback anyways because he's a f*cking moron.

I had someone do that shit to me when I won something for like 40 bucks when it normally goes for around 200.

He was like "oh there was a fire in our shop and the items were destroyed.  I have to refund you."  and I was like "Oh, that's cute.  How come you relisted the item using the same pictures with a 175$ buy it now?"

Joke was on him.  He ran a book store not far from me, so I drove to the store and was like "Oh hey, I heard you guys had a fire in here.  Was it bad?" and the person working was like "What? No?  There was no fire."

So I was like "oh ok, well, I am here to do a local pickup on an eBay item I won."

Got my shit for 40$ and went home and told the guy thanks for the local pickup.   Pound sand.  Dick.

I wouldn't neg, that would leave me feeling a little girlish.
I would insist that he void the transaction though, cause you could actually be on the hook for a non paying bidder strike otherwise. He has to initiate voiding it by sending you a cancel transaction form, which you'll of course accept.

I love it, but I'm also sad that no-one in this country would have the balls to do that.  God, the English are so.... English.
