80's cartoons and PCE/TG16 games
« on: July 30, 2013, 10:12:24 AM »
If you could have your choice of any 80's to early 90's cartoons, which would you have liked to have seen on the PCE?

My votes goes for a MetroidVania like GI JOE game or a Masters of the Universe game, as a action RPG or obviously a brawler. Runner up, Thundercats and MASK.

I guess I would have to think about what best makes a video game.  I vote for Ghostbusters (Would have been better than Ghost Manor at least).

Oh that would be awesome. Each lvl could be an homage to all sorts of different movies, just like the cartoon!

I really enjoyed Ghostbusters 2 JP version for the Famicom as well as the GB game on the Genesis, would you keep it along those lines?

Ducktales as in the NES version or a whole new style of game?

The NES one. But I wouldn't mind a decent ducktales with diff. style/mechanics at all.

Lmao
Exactly, this franchise works way better in 3D. I think a konami approach could work. Start as a protoform and upgrade and get access to areas as you "evolve" explore etc etc

That's pretty much what I pictured!

So many good suggestions so far.  Not quite cartoons, but I would have loved to play some X-Men on the Turbo, bitd.
