Well, I agree with you that many of those prices are crazy.

I am looking for a few more TG-16 boxes, so if you have any of the following that you're thinking of letting go of, let me know.

Fighting Street
J.B. Harold Murder Club
Legendary Axe II, The
Lords of the Rising Sun
Magical Chase
Sinistron
Timeball
Turrican
Ys Book I & II

How hard is it to find just boxes for particular games?  Depends on game I'm sure.  I've watched a few eBay auctions with just boxes and the price jumps way out of my price range at the end.  I mean way out of my price range.

I just want a damn manual for Dungeon Explorer 2. The thing is, I can't bring myself paying $200+ for a complete copy just for a manual..

The more rare the game, the easier it is to find just the box for sale.

I gave some of my CARDBOARD BOXES away for free.  I even paid for shipping. =D

Yeah ebay is terrible for people splitting up games now.  It goes (for turbo) box, case (if it had one), manual, then HuCard.  Sad really.  Genesis sales have been that way for a while as well.  Not everyone, but quite a few sellers are starting to follow this and milk it for whatever they can.

For turbo boxes I really have no idea what to really charge.  I feel bad to even charge anything.  It's a damn cardboard box.  That's all I see.  Not $$$$$$$$$$

Some of that may have been buyer stupidity in addition to seller assholishness.  Semi-related story: I used to room with an f-tard who bought several PS2s and sold them for 3-4x markup on ebay Xmas of 2000 or whenever it was. He kept one for himself, but sold the empty box alongside his other auctions. It sold for more than a PS2 retailed at the time. I remember the a$$hole gloating about it while to poor buyer begged for a refund.  My buddy (other roommie) and i got him back pretty good, though (story for another day).  Biggest prick I've ever known.

Did you sell him a sealed VGA Graded Magical Chase that actually only had a used condom inside?

I thought VGA does that with every game they grade?

Seems like that is a steal.  What would that have all sold for individually?

Not sure, but it was a good deal.

Soldier Blade, Valis 2, Turrican, and the systems probably combine to get about $500 on ebay.  Essentially the other 50 games were free.

That's insane.  One of the rare times that the price didn't sky rocket.  Every time I've followed just boxes being sold (entering triple digits now) the price has jumped way out of my league with under a minute, but nothing happened here...  Just got to hit the right moment.
