Too late, I paid almost immediately :> Well, I can wait, and I need to keep costs down as I'm after some other hardware stuff as well.
I'm happy the price didn't go higher but maybe it's because it wasn't boxed?

Good thing I jumped on a few PC-FX games earlier this year...

When i bought it i didn't give to ****s if it came with a box or not as long as i had the system in my possession, why is it you need the box? Collectors sake?
I don't need it.  I just like the look of the box.  If I can get a PC-FX for $50 I'll be more than happy to scoop it up at that price.
I'm busy playing pinball, but I still drop by to visit.

That was lower than I thought it would end at. I picked up a second controller this week on eBay. It'll take 2 weeks airmail, but it was new and boxed for something like 16 or 17 shipped airmail. You guys should pick one up too. Or wait till I get mine to tell you it arrived so that it is safe to get one too.

eBay is full of crazy buy it now prices these days.

Oh, good thing I got the system cheap so I could pay a bit more once it reaches here.

Edit:

I recommend 'Last Imperial Prince' and 'Sparkling Feather'.  Fun games!

PC-FX has always been cheap here in Japan, stores just want them gone.  Exporters would charge more naturally and for awhile this worked, but these days there are less people buying stuff for the sake of it, and more people doing research and seeing the FX isn't for them, hence the online sellers are being forced to lower prices to get them out.

Sparkling Feather is on my list of interesting games. Not super into RPGs but checked out some gameplay and Last Imperial Prince looked pretty neat.

So far I have some of the more common/inexpensive games: Team Innocent (dem controls!), Battle Heat, Graduation II FX & Detective Ladies - which is a kinda odd game since I always thought you'd play as the detectives not go up against them. Also the language barrier went kinda over my head.  8-[
I shall give it another try - looking more closely in the manual this time round.

Looking forward to picking up Pia Carrot at some point - I should be able to play it okay-ish. I have been playing Pia Carrot 3 on PC in the past and that went all right.

Indeed. I want the system, it's just not high on my list. A price drop would be great. I'd love to do some homebrew stuff on the system.

They're still bought and sold quite often over here, but we've reached critical mass to have enough to sell back and forth to each other without needing to import more.  Buy, try to 'get it' for a month, give up and sell, lather, rinse, repeat.

Since when did Blue Chicago Blues on PCFX become a high ticket title? Does it have as much video as the LD-ROM?

Agreed!   We should try and organize a group purchase of a bunch of units and have them shipped to the US by slowboat for everyone interested.  I'm sure buying like10 units in bulk plus ocean shipping would be pretty damn cheap when all is said and done.
