Ha! I accidentally ran over a couple of my kids' toys earlier this summer with the lawn mower and they experienced a similar fate. Hopefully my son will never notice that those toys have mysteriously gone missing...

I ran over some of my kids dinky cars (do they still call 'em that?) last summer. The metal ones. The cars were toast, but so was the blade on my Toro. $40 later... new blade. I now scout ahead prior to mowing the lawn.

My wife is a psychopath and loves mowing the lawn. She runs over everything.

I missed this thread when it was originally posted! I can't tell you how many toys/sports equipment have fallen victim to the mower.
The only time I busted a blade was when I foolishly tempted Fate and tried to "trim the weeds" on some rocks and clipped a huge stone.
I have a string trimmer. I paid the price for trying to scam a shortcut.
