I don't have a Wii so please excuse my ignorance, but it sounds like if you bought the game previously and they pulled it, you could no longer play it!?

To be honest, I do not know, Considering I have these games already, I am not to worried about it.  Though, I would love them to bring some imports over like Steam Hearts, Spriggan and Macross 2036

So these are Wii Virtual Console games returning, yes, not new Wii U Virtual Console releases of the games?  The two are different things.

Anyway, it's pretty much the same with the Wii as it is with Steam, the Xbox 360, or the PS3 -- if you already own and have a game which was removed of course you can still play it... but no one who doesn't own it already can, because it's not being sold anymore.  But no, people who already bought the game don't have access blocked or something... unless it's an MMO of course, in which case shutting it down does kill the whole thing, but there aren't many of those on consoles of course.

Yeah, woukd be nice to get Tonma on the wiiu. Sounds like they're just being made available on the Wii again, though. And maybe PAL only.

You could still play them if you bought it and later on they pulled it. They were saved locally on your Wii to play.

Pulling them simply meant that those games were no longer available for new purchases. I noticed those four games were all Irem games, probably something to do with rights or royalities.
