Amazing... People bash it for being dead, but my host emails me to whine that it is too busy despite my paying extra for additional resources.

Namecheap is pretty decent and cheap.  Dreamhost is amazing but more expensive.

I would have a hard time believing that the chat box uses more then 5gigs a month.

Maybe it's time to move to irc...  I love hexchat and irc.freenode.net is a pretty awesome place once you find some good rooms to hang in.
