PC Engine Turbo Duo RX controller port issue

I have a Duo RX where the controller port is finicky (ie: I need to put a small amount of downward pressure on it for it to work). Does anyone have any experience with this issue and a possible fix? I'm not exactly sure what the problem is, but it might be re-soldering the controller port inside?

So far I have opened up the Duo Rx to take a look at the solder points and I did not see anything strange or loose on the underside of the controller port where the pins and solder is located. Is this something I would able to see with the naked eye?

I was able to jimmy something by putting a little downwards pressure on the port before i closed up the system again and seems to be working fine with the added pressure, but probably not for very long.

Hello to all, I'm new here also.
It seems that it's like you think, open the console, remove the board and use a iron solder to reflow the solders on mini din.
Before you could look on your plug (controller side) in order to check if pins aren't twisted.

Welcome, you two.  It's not uncommon to need to reflow the din socket's solder, but it's more common for the a/v one to need it than the controller.  Good luck!

MiniDIN 8Pin, it's the standard 8pin, but there are other configuration of 8pin
but they are all custom made for it's certain products and it's unlikely you will
find the wrong one.

It's also not often the connector actually breaks but if it gets a littleloose it can,
it can also have something stuck inside like a broken pin making it in need
of a new one or maybe you need one when building a PCE cabinet.
