Lol, I got an PM on Nintondo Age from one of the dudes organizing a branch out here asking me to join too: https://www.facebook.com/groups/CORGS/
Seemed sketchy enough to me in the first place, I'm glad I don't join Facebook groups now.
The guy with the pinned post on the group you linked to, David Chauncey Clothier, is the other screw ball admin. He was just being obnoxious and persistent in trying to get me to willingly delete my post. The one he was stressing over was posted around 1 Am or so, it was pretty late when I did it, when they were not around viewing the page. By the time these admin guys had seen it hours later it was too late to get rid of it their selves without looking bad. About 40 people had already viewed it.
He also got upset when I informed him I gave people the chat logs from myself and Matt account 1 and account 2, and tried to accuse me of being shady for doing so. LOL ikr? Nothing shady about that, I got nothing to hide so I figured if people wanted to know what all was said between this Matt guy and me I figured why not.
People who were contacting me said this guy was an ass of sorts and they wont deal with him or his friends. What few mins of text back and forth with him I did I was not impressed with him. After I blocked him and left the group people felt the need to let me know he went ahead and deleted his and my conversation a bit later.
Also, I got the feeling too that most of these people dropping me pm's about the guy were just wanting to add fuel to the fire, hoping someone would keep arguing with him. A lot of these people came off as kind of spineless to me, so I blocked about every one of them that dropped me a pm off there awhile after I left. The only guy I did not block was the guy I sold the Saturns to, because I need to confirm when they are delivered. Whatever shit they got going on there though with the admins is not my problem. People need to grow a god damned spine.
My opinion? Basically just some groups per state with some probably
ok people and mostly shitty resellers, all being spearheaded by wanna be collector resellers. From reading alot of post, it appears to me most of these guys on these groups, admins included, are in it for mainly the money and some attention, not the fun. Most of them are not even remotely in the know it seems as far as importing, mod work, actual value of games, what games are really good, really rare etc. They just go by what other people tell them or what they picked up off of last weeks youtube videos or AVGN. The only thing they do know is typically the obvious stuff that noobs would know. Past that they are fairly clueless about this hobby.
