Back on topic: fact-checking is rarely done these days. Folks honestly don't care or lack the ability to conduct basic research.

Which reminds me: Everyone simply scrapes mediocre content from each other, repackaging the same old pap.

AND YET: the folks who actually do a decent job (researching, fact-checking, creating original content)...these are the folks who are difficult to find because you have to sift through an ocean of shite before you find something decent.

There's only about 3 or 4 retro gaming podcasts I can stand to listen to due to their aforementioned quality control and fact checking. I can deal with lack of production values, etc. but if you f*ck up the facts, it makes me want to rip my stereo out of the car.
