The new Commander sets being mono-colored is a bad idea. They could have reprinted the filter lands but most definitely won't at this point. Not in that product, that is!

I don't hate the new layout of M15, something which bugged other people. The change from old frame to new frame was shocking to me (post-Masques), but the M15 layout change is minor.

A set I'm skipping altogether.

The new layout is ugly.   The newest layout, is worse.

Wizards is going retarded.

I actually like the new card face but I've always disliked the change on artifacts. They were best when they looked brown.

Got my old card set unearthed finally - I actually went through every single card and sorted them by release, alphabetically (lots of Unlimited/Revised, all the way through Homelands)

My plan was to sell everything off, since there is zero chance I will ever play this game again. But I gotta tell you - I got real damn nostalgic looking at all of those cards and I had to refrain myself from picking up a Magic 2015 starter kit at Target, heh. Reminded me of how addictive that game was when it came out.

I would have put all the cards on a ziploc and played some Rayxanber II.

Unfortunately, your rares were all over the place as far as colors go (and you got "shafted" with a land). I have had the best luck with Abzan in sealed pools.

Funny I found this thread, I've been sorting through my old Magic cards the last few days. My initial plan was to sell some of them off, but I'm not sure if I can; there's just too much nostalgia.

I started playing right after Ice Age came out, most of my cards are 4th / Ice Age. I kept playing until around 98. Last Christmas I bought an M14 starter deck for a friend who I used to play with in the 90s, and one for myself. We never got around to playing though..

Some memories:
[ul][li]Getting a Beta Mox Emerald for Christmas, but returning it because it was heavily played.  ](*,)[/li][li]Going into a Comic store around 98 and buying a pack of The Dark they'd found between a shelf and the wall, opening it and getting a Maze of Ith.[/li][li]Spending countless hours designing unconventional decks, ~2% which weren't terrible.[/li][/ul]
I barely have time to Obey at the moment, much less time to get back in to Magic, but some day...

Just sold the whole shebang on eBay for about $500 total, which honestly is probably about how much I spent on the game as a kid in total.

I had no clue Dual Lands were worth so much. Holy crap. I remember as a kid we used to get PISSED when our rare card in a booster was a dual land, which in hindsight is hilarious. We all wanted that Lord of the Pit, baby!

The only dual land I have left is a Revised Volcanic Island. About 7 or 8 years ago my mom was clearing stuff out of my room and took my cards to a store to sell them. The store wasn't buying cards at that time, but the guy working was nice enough to price all the rare cards for her.

He put $15 on the Volcanic Island, last check they're going for around $250. Thank god she didn't sell it.

I play magic a little bit in high school but was never big into it. I still have quite a few cards(did some trading a years ago for them). I need to dig them out and see if anything is in there. This past year I actually bought some new cards to play with my son.

I remember when dual lands were worth $5 and we would trade our extras for a BK meal. lol

I traded a freaking Time Walk at a tournament once for a pair of Vesuvian Dopplegangers, Berserk, and a Legends Carrion Ants. Which at the time was actually a solid trade!
