I like Nightwolve's patch idea best.

Adding PCE console specific layer on top of that, makes for an interesting challenge (no, not a reference to Ys II).

If teh reprint had enough differences then i buy it ( different cover etc ) , i like to support all the homebrew efforts, even if i dont get to play the games as much as i would like anymore i still buy them ( see not all collectors are evil, yes we hoard our games mint in box in plastic cases to protect but we still support homebrew aswell :) ), end goal is to one day have the time to dabble in development myself.. Perhaps rover you could take a different approach, do a reprint, do whatever changes you want and then publish some more tutorials on how you do some of the crazy stuff, the more basic tutorials and examples that get out the more chance the scene can grow.. i for one would be happy to buy a second print just to get access to insider secrets on how to do stuff.. ;)

Rove, have you considered perhaps doing ONLY the CD pressing of the updated game, packing it in white sleeves, and selling at a lower price as you are already saving by not doing another run of booklets, inserts, and cases?

This would allow for those who care to just get the disc and you could establish two pay brackets (Full prices (albeit lower), and a price targeted for early adopters).

OK, it's settled then: a synth-pop version of MSR soundtrack will be created for me. Thank you! I'm so friggin' excited.
