Personal Obey Secrets: I wonder how many of us do this?
« on: January 09, 2014, 06:49:42 AM »
I always carry a spare Keith Courage in my wallet.

You never know when you will run into loosie goosie storage possibilities and so it's nice to have a HuCard right then and there to see how it would fit!

There, my secret is out....

I have a Bonk's Adventure loose HU sitting on my desk at work. Next to a nanoblock of the Kaminarimon. Above it is "necromancers" case (PCE Necromancer) I'll take a pic later. My lazy ass hasn't built the Kaminarimon yet.

This is how I acquired 5 HuCARD's and a TurboStick. It arrived just after XMAS, if I recall correctly, and was the most awesome XMAS break ever:

http://archives.tg-16.com/turbo_play_0011.htm#t08

(Page 9. You can't tell, but it is a "pop up" Space Harrier card...the pillars, our hero, the floating head, the explosion...everything was a  separate, folded/suspended piece). 3-D, baby!

This is how my brother acquired five more games, shortly thereafter:

http://archives.tg-16.com/turbo_play_0012.htm#t30

(Page 31. Macaroni Megas was awesome. I wish I still had it. It would be framed and hanging in my house. No joke. YUKO, beware!)

What 5 games did you get the first time?  The second time, was it just a bunch of dupes or did you get 5 new ones?  Either way, that's so awesome.

Awesome! I was just showing my son a tunnel book I made ages ago (though it wasn't nearly as cool as Space Harrier)!

bitd,
I had my own double side circuit printed PC Engine logo keychain which looked soo awesome. unfortunately i lost it many years ago :(
I made my own selfmade white polo shirt with a pce logo on the chest and wore it for any game related events.

recently,
I used to have few PCE games and a white CD-ROM in my desk at work. but we were forced to clean out our desks of any at work unecessary private things. now one can argue that any obey is a necessary thing at work, but the boss saw that differently.
