Now sticking videogames in a storage unit is "preserving"... I said it once and I'll say it again: stop hoarding sealed mint shit you idiots, not only you're not enjoying awesome games and wasting money, but you're also condemning them to fail/rot/etc. WITHOUT BEING USED. Leave the actual preservation to museums dumbasses, do you think they preserve historical items by leaving them inside a cardboard box in the museum's attic?

The funny thing is that those people not only will not enjoy their purchases, but will also subject teh rarez to early failure by trying to "preserve" them. Also when they die it will all probably be scattered in the wild by relatives with no interest/knowledge of gaming. Congratulations on the preservation of gaming history ! ! !

I honestly don't know what to say to folks who need DUPLICATE collections.

A while back I dropped out of the Facebook group(s) because of exactly that.  I mean some of the contributing was alright and I know there are some pcefx folks that are active in those groups to a certain degree, so that was cool.  But overall it just got to be more than I could stand personally, as far as all the collectors, investors, incessant bragging and so on.  That is depressing to read.

i used to feel this was like the last safe place for us true pce and turbo gamers and hardcore players but it too has been overran lately with this same mentality. A magical chase on ebay thread gets way more traffic than our game of the week, clears thread, high score section you name it
