Are those MC repro cards like built to last and such or something? Also, how much do they runnn?

The card itself is some kind of metal.  It has some weight to it.  I paid $30.00.

Mannn, that'd go great with a sparky manual and label, I could super pretend I have it and junk. eff eff eff. Where that Chop guy at? lol

WHO PLAYED ATLANTEAN.  WHAT DID YOU THINK.  HNFFFFGGGGGGGGG

I got to play it.  Its basically a remake of the old Defender game in an underwater setting.  Instead of a space ship, you're some kind of mechanical dolphin.  If you have ever played Defender on the Atari 2600 or in the arcade, you've played this game.

There was some nice parallax scrolling near the bottom of the screen.  I thought they could use more variety for the background graphics though as it repeats a lot as you fly to the left or right.  The control of your character feels like a drunk on ice trying to roller skate...

Yeah, I know it's a remake of Defender.  I'm the one who is making it, lol.

If you think Atlantean feels drunk, you should play the real Defender at an arcade.    I made the whole inertia thing a lot more forgiving.

...did you make it to the mine field or bosses?  or the alternate level art?

(blah blah...crouded, busting out a the seems...)
My hope has always been that they'd move it from Brookfield to the Delta Center downtown in Milwaukee (selfishly so that I could walk 5 blocks to the show).
You could make bank charging for couch space...make moneys during MGC to spend moneys at MGC.

Much good gaming.  Much good conversation. MUCH good beer. :)
So much. Sucks about the tix and the over charge.

I got back home 8pm Monday. Took a bus from MKE to ORD since the flights looked better for stand by. Was a blast, glad to see all my northern obey brothers, plus meeting new ones. Only dropped $13 in the dealers room on Xserd and Super Daisenryaku, both of which I was looking to get.

Looking forward to Octurbofest and the next MGC already. Any southerners should look to Animazement(self promoting!) and MAGFest (<-lacking in obey, but still a 96 hour party).

You betcha!  It's my preferred way of obeying the forums. I haven't tested it on many browsers, but it seems to work fine in Chrome and Firefox. :)  You can also save that html file to your hard drive and run it locally, and it'll still work. I just stuck it in my public Dropbox so I can easily edit it if I ever find a bug.

Makes me wish I still lived in IL so I could just drive up for the weekend =[

It coincided with PAX East this year, though, so I wouldn't have made it anyway.

Lol... I was a talking head on Skype.  I would have introduced myself, but you weren't in the turbo room during the couple of hours I was online before either the wifi shit out or I drank myself into a coma (jury is still out on that)

Oh so that was YOU who was on the monitor. If I had known I would have said hi.

Ark, I didn't know that Beemer had an Atlantean prototype. I would have been all over it if I had known. VGS maybe?

I forgot to thank you for taking that flattering photo of me deliriously tired Friday night after setup, haha.
