What? No Pac Land shirt?

DS rulez. I started it up again this fall, 'bout half way through it. Can't remember how to get into the dragon dome thing.

That dude had to be desperate..... I admit I was that guy.... please let me mockery begin. I saw that other auction for case and disc only ($69).
I was "watching" this sale as I too love RPG's. Anyways, don't forget cost and value are two different things. If the "value" of this item was more to you than it's "cost" then don't be bothered. Also being honest and taking the impending mockery is admirable.

It's actually more of a fetch quest game.

I think that people who claim to hate grinding in 16-bit RPGs should still to digicomics. I'd compare it to people who dislike platforming in platformers, but that is unfortunately a popular opinion. Platforming is considered "8-bit".

Is that a thing, really?  If someone dislikes platforming then they should just stick to Tetris I guess.

Grinding in an RPG?!?  Crazy!!!

Excessive grinding is only required in Dragon Slayer if you try to brute force your way through bosses because you're either too stupid or too lazy to come up with effective strategies.

I was watching that Dragon Slayer like a hawk. I thought the $75 was too high already, and I was cursing at the price as it went up. Dragon Slayer is a bit like my personal must have game for the Duo. I only had a TG-16 and CD attachment back in the day, so I was always pissed I couldn't play the damn thing. Yeah the other Super CD games were cool, but this one seemed special. Especially to an RPG starved teenager. Not to mention I'm a massive falcom fan, and am slowly trying to collect all the US releases of their games here. Hope you are enjoying it. I just hope the price doesn't shoot up as a result. Turbo prices have gone insane in recent times.

And yeah, if anyone is willing to part with their copy, let me know. Can't pay the $200+ but will be willing to talk at least on a fairer price.

I've got 2 extra if you're interested. One has the manual/case/game/ back insert, no map - manual is in rough shape. Then the second is basically a loose disc but i did copy the manual cover and back insert to make it "look" like its complete on a shelf - this disc has been resurfaced and was in BAD shape before resurfacing.  Still has some scratching and works on some systems and not others. IT works on my duo/duo-r/and my Turbo CD but I took it over a friends house and it wouldn't work on his Turbo CD.  Shoot me a PM if interested.
All is well. :)

Dragon Slayer doesn't regularly sell for $200 - $300. Even $100 for DS is crazy.

About a year and a half ago I was being an idiot and sold mine on ebay for $50. No shit, if I didn't return with my tail between my legs to buy back a copy for the same price. Hold out, there's no reason to pay that much money for this game.

Well, the first ridiculous BIN post auction is up. $200!

http://www.ebay.com/itm/Dragon-Slayer-Legend-Heroes-US-Turbo-Grafx-CD-Turbo-Duo-PC-Engine-Complete-/221376934594?pt=Video_Games_Games&hash=item338b17f2c2

Though there was a BIN for $80 a little over a week ago. Let me thank RoyVegas again for cutting me a great deal on the game. Holy crap.
