Most of the high-profile people I've met have been rich but not necessarily famous. I don't tend to remember meeting famous people because they're just people to me so it's not a big deal.

This!!! Not every "famous person" likes to be bothered by a fan everytime they step out of their homes... I actually heard from a friend that a famous guy (in my country) just told him to piss off when he tried to start a conversation. I would do that too if I were famous outside my house :P I imagine that it is good to be treated as a regular human being once in a while for them.

Most of the "famous people" I've met have been in music, but there have been a few actors and highly visible politicians as well. A few I can remember meeting... I met Karl Sanders before he was well-known. He was just a regular dude. He was interested in my radio show, as I was the only DJ at the station playing Nile. I met Carlito, the wrestler, and he was cool as hell IRL. I once met Howard Dean, who I'm sure just about every person in the USA knows by now. Great guy and takes good care of himself, unlike most of the fatass lazy politicians I've met before (he was a doctor in a clinic near where I used to live before going into politics so I'm sure this helps). I've also met a few local celebrities while here in PR... mostly soap opera actors and actresses who were doing promotions. Usually good people. One lady in particular was in a Wendy's one evening and my wife at the time pointed her out to me and asked if I wanted to go meet her... I wasn't particularly interested in doing so.

Vanilla Ice once stopped at the pizza place four shops down from where I was working in a mall one evening. I didn't meet him personally but I saw him and how he interacted with people. He seemed like a pretty nice guy. I saw Jim Carrey stick his head out of a limo to shout at and spit at people. He was a major dickhead. Interesting how one guy initially built his career trying to make people think he's all badass yet turns out to be really nice, and one other guy built his career trying to make people think he's funny yet turns out to be a serious douchebarrel.

I met Marc Summers (of Double Dare fame at the time) when Nickelodeon took over my elementary school in 1993....  It was a pretty big deal for a third grader.

Also in college I played pool a couple of times with Darius Rucker and the drummer from Hootie and the Blowfish. They used to hang out at one of the local bars on campus. The cool thing was that everyone did treat them as normal guys. People who didn't know the band, didn't know they were famous.

The most "famous" people I've interacted with are probably Bruce Smith (NFL HOF'er; played most of his career with the Buffalo Bills) and Kurt Busch (NASCAR driver; was buddies with the owner of the company I used to work for and occasionally made appearances in the office).

I had some beers with John Witherspoon (the dad from Friday) when he was doing a comedy show back in Virginia Beach. Cool dude.

I met the former Heavyweight Boxing Champion - Lennox Lewis.
This was back in 2001. He had come to South Africa to defend his title.
There was a bunch of us watching one of his open-to-the-public sparring/training sessions. When he was done working out he came over and greeted a few of us and spend a little time talking to us. His trainer at the time then handed out a few pairs of autographed gloves.

No, just been playing music for a long time, been to a lot of concerts, and have some friends in the "industry" My best friend's cousin is the guitar tech for Slipknot. That's how I was able to meet a lot of people on Mayhem fest (slayer anthrax motorhead ect) The big head in the pic is me.

I go to the Fan Expo every year, so I have met many celebrities.  Some of them like to chat for a bit and seem like genuine people that just happen to be celebrities, whereas others are a$$holes.

I would say the biggest dick I ever met was probably John Carpenter.  Some of the cooler people I met that I talked to for a while were Lloyd Kaufman, Don Coscarelli, and Clive Barker.  It seems the bigger the name, the bigger the a$$hole, is the typical rule.

Most of these people are probably unknown here, but here goes:
Mickey Rooney, we used to clean his floors & carpets for years n' years.

Susan Silo, we clean her carpets.  She does a lot of voice acting http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0798152/?ref_=fn_al_nm_7

Jennifer Darling(she's a friend of Susan Silo's), we clean her carpets.  Does voice acting, you'd probably remember her as Irma from the original TMNT
http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0201373/?ref_=tt_cl_t10

Larry Guli, we clean his carpets
http://www.imdb.com/name/nm1067092/?ref_=fn_al_nm_1

Scott Bakula, didn't exactly meet him.  When Quantum Leap was still on the air, some friends & I were doing some work at the Thousand Oaks Civic Arts Plaza.  They had closed the doors to start whatever show was going on there, & we saw him & his daughter trying to find a way in.  One of my friends said "Why don't you try leaping thru the door".

Rudy Pardee of the LA Dream Team.  My brother made an album with him & another guy as DTP(Diverse Thought Process.  I used to go to the studio all the time with my brother to work on beats & such.  This was back in the early 90's.  The album was never released, & a record company owns the original DAT tapes unfortunately.  They did release a single however. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/LA_Dream_Team

Mack 10, I'm not a fan, but I chatted with him at a Subway(the restaurant).  He was eating a sandwhich with his wife T-boz of TLC.  A few months later, we ended up cleaning they're carpets!  Maybe I had my work shirt on, & they took note of our company, not sure?

Mos Def, years before his acting carreer.  He was really nice & friendly.  Met him with Talib Kweli at Lyricist Lounge.

Aceyalone, Myka 9, Self Jupiter, & P.E.A.C.E of Freestyle Fellowship.  I've talked to Aceyalone on many occasions, usually at Project Blowed.

Abstract Rude & one of the dancers of Abstract Tribe Unique, I forget which one, same deal, mainly talked to Ab Rude at Project Blowed.  Him & Aceyalone always remember my name.

Phoenix Orion, talked to him mainly about Transformers, & the possibility of him doing an all Transformers inspired album.

Awol One & Circus of The Shapeshifters.  I actually used to talk to Awol fairly often on the phone.  I originally wanted to collaborate with him on something, but I gradually decided to get out of the music biz.

Sirk One of E Times 2.  I forget how I met him, but he actually came over once & listened to some of my beats.

Murs of the Living Legends, he was really cool.

Jizzm, not my favorite name for an MC, but he as a person was really cool.  I used to talk to him frequently on the phone about the music biz.

I saw Zack de la Rocha of Rage Against the Machine at Project Blowed, but didn't actually say hi to him.

Subtitle, I would see him all the time whenever I went to Aron's Records(his day job) & later at Amoeba's(another day job) & chat with him a bit.

Others I met:
Panda One, Afu-Ra, Busdriver, 2Mex of The Visionaries, Pigeon John, LA the Darkman, Thirsten Howl the 3rd, Master Fuol, Adlib of Global Phlowtations, The Grouch & Eligh of Living Legends, DJ Drez, Acid Reign,
