Philip Seymour Hoffman passed away
« on: February 02, 2014, 12:08:38 PM »
 he was one of the very best of this actors generation. I'm a bit in a shock :(

hoped to see many more excellent upcoming movies with him. I also thought he still had his best movie years ahead.

Saw him for the first time in Boogie Nights.  Sucks when anyone dies.

Well, it sucks, but

he ODed on heroin and had a ton of other drugs on the scene, so, nice job, f*ckhead, is all I have to say.

Yeah, great actor, but evidently life was too for him hard being able to do everything he wanted, being rich, having kids etc. The pressure was too much. I think it was being in these Hunger Games films that finally helped him reach his breaking point. The shame he had to carry of being in an mainstream high dollar Hollywood movie as opposed to next to no pay indie films, it was too much a burden to bear. The odds were never in his favor.

Still, he was the main star in one of the greatest Sega Genesis games ever made.

This. ^  I was sad to hear that he died and before I read anything I knew it was going to be drug related.  Don't really feel sorry for him.  Did he really not have enough in his life he had to use drugs, and f*cking heroine of all things?  I loved him as an actor since Twister.   My favorite is his roll on Pirate Radio.

Philip Seymour Hoffman was found with five empty heroin bag as well as many as 65 more bags that were still unused, police told ABC News.

I feel horrible for his kids......
All is well. :)
