Down in Alabama, they got .002" one time and the whole city panicked and shut down.

Because there is no infrastructure to support snow bukkake and the states are BROKE!  Like no joke.

Shovels. Salt. Sand.

That costs money. Money which they do not have.

I wish I could find the article reading about it. It's really a sad situation.

Yeah when I first moved down south here from Ohio I went from 10° and snow to 70° and sunny in January 93.  Then by March in Columbia SC we got the "blizzard of the century!"  Haha it was a couple inches.  All the grocery stores were out of milk, bread and beer.  News stations were covering it like it was the end of the world.  It was so nuts.  That same day it was the "Blizzard of the Decade!" in Cleveland.  My friend sent a pic of him in the snow.  Little did I know the snow mound was actually his parents car completely covered in snow.

Use the above shit on roads and walkways... and drive/walk slowly...

Dress warm.

Send this to your local officials. Many lives will be saved.

Dude don't be a dick. 3-6 inches of sleet and ICE not snow, is a problem anywhere. The pic above is not snow its the accumulation of sleet and freezing rain.

We don't have salt, sand, and whatever the hell else because it would be poor budgeting to spend money on a fleet of plows and tons of salt for a severe winter event that happens once every decade. Its not because were broke. Actually SC ranks higher on the list for fiscal solvency. Want broke? Look at California or especially Michigan and Ohio. Those  f*ckers are moving down here by the droves for work. They can't maintain a f*cking city like Detroit but they have clear roads during a snow storm... Thank goodness....

So STFU!

I am moving to SC this summer and am looking forward to a glorious winter after a decade of non-stop summer.

@Rove:  AWESOME!  BTW it still gets hot as f*ck here during the summer.

@toymachine78:  I lived in Irmo in a subdivision right off of Harbison Blvd.  My wife and I "were" from the Columbia area and our family is still there.  As of right now I am in Wilmington, NC

My answer to the snow we got today in east Tennessee...

Yeah... that just happened.  I may be almost 30, but you're never too old to play in the snow!

Rove, sorry to tell you but it almost never snows in Myrtle Beach. I was there once and it snowed one inch and the town shit down since it didn't have snow plows our salt trucks or anything.

That's okay... it snows in other parts, places I can drive to. :) I can't drive to even see snow here on this tropical island. If it ever snowed here, the entire population of this island would resort to cannibalism.

Tell me WHO could run a city like that. It's a joke, even here.  And I live really close. Grosse Pointe. It's really nice. Detroit is the only bad thing about Michigan, and even that is debatable in some aspects. Those that can't find work aren't looking hard enough.

And... It's snow. Frozen water. Pick up a shovel and shovel that shit! Drive slow. Like really slow. 10 min. Drive should take an hour. It'll be ok
Nothin beats the real thing.

Im from Colorado so snow is no stranger to me.  I love the stuff actually.  I live in east Tennessee right now and Ive gotta say its a lot different here than Colorado.  First off its not flat here.  Its hilly and roads are mostly narrow two lane winding up and down roads.  You can plow and salt all you want but if some of these roads get snow covered they are impassible period.  Even if you have a good 4wd vehical youll still get stuck because someone else will get stuck and block you.  Additionally, it seems like we get a lot more ice than I ever remember in Colorado.  Maybe its because its more humid here.   Bottom line, snow does shut things down here but not solely because people dont know how to drive in it.  Its a different world here in the south.
