If it was in my sale, I would have shipped it with tracking for $16

That's what I thought. I offered 18 shipped. They wanted 30. Not happening.

30 sounds about right for eBay pricing, not forum pricing, but that's just my opinion.

yeah, people have been pulling the trigger on BIN's in the $30's.
recent actual "auction" with bids ended at $18.

Well it was $18.37 + $6.45 shipping = $24.82 shipped.  It also looks like it might be missing the back insert?  It's hard to tell from the photo and auction description

I was the guy who offered this for $30 shipped.  I think it's a pretty fair price (even if a whole $5 more than the quoted auction), and personally I don't think it's worth getting worked up over a few bucks.  I've sold games on here at "below eBay prices" and I still consider $30 shipped for Last Alert a fair valuation.  Everyone is entitled to their opinion, though.
I'm not sorry about this, as I'm not sorry about ANY attack by the goverrats.

Well, we tend to sell under eBay here, and even on eBay, 30 is a little high for that one.  It isn't a matter of opinion actually, but a matter of fact.

I think the one that sold for $18.37 was probably a fluke, since the seller listed it as a "TURBO 16 GRAPX" game, lol.

I dunno, I picked up Last Alert, It Came from the Desert and The Addams Family back in Sept./Oct. for $32 shipped.  It had been on my watch list for awhile, though.  Gotta love that voice acting!

Yeah.  Does that seem too high?  I tried to price it similarly to other completed auctions with the manual.   I was trying to recoup some of the costs towards a complete copy I recently purchased.  FWIW it sold this morning, less than 12-hours after I put it online so I couldn't have been too far from the "true value."

Let's be clear: I've sold plenty of games on here at really great prices.  Maccross 2036 for $15 shipped.  A bunch of other fairly low-priced games to Mzo and other members here (can't remember other prices off the top of my head but I do remember the PMs I got that said "thanks for giving me such a great deal").  I hope you're not trying to frame me as some sort of flipper, opportunist, or whatever have you.  I appreciate the low-price ethos that goes on here and have, honestly, tried to follow suit.

I'm also a PCE Dev working on a new game for you guys to play (which I'm going to open source part of sometime in the future)--at least a few of you have seen an early demo--so let's please shy away, Galam, from the character judgments you seem to be implying.  I don't think I'm the type you're suggesting.

I don't know if $30 shipped for Last Alert was too high, but it felt like a reasonable price to me and seems in-line with what eBay sales are.  Sometimes you can get a deal if you're patient, I agree, but $30 shipped seems like fair market value.  Again, we're talking about $5 more than what you quoted.  But if you look at the completed auctions on eBay (maybe I just don't have a good resource for completed auctions?  IDK how you found that $18 copy, Galam, I'm not seeing it here although obviously you linked it), the cheapest non-disc only copies are (shipped prices) $26.44, $28.95, 29.99, $34.95, $37.32, and they go up from there.  So based on these completed auctions I saw, mine is in-line with the third-to-lowest price.  That doesn't seem terribly high to me.  Maybe you guys can share with me how you're getting your pricing information, since completed auctions seem to indicate that $30 shipped is an OK price for Last Alert.  I agree that it is not literally the cheapest copy that has ever sold on eBay, but $30 shipped is similar to the low-end of completed auctions and is cheaper than any currently-listed copy on eBay.

I understand and appreciate (really!) the aggressiveness with which members protect pricing here, but I don't think a $30 Last Alert is the scam some members are painting it to be.
