Hello, I think... I don't really know where you can get NEC rips of game CDs these days if that's what you're looking for beyond torrent stuff. Linking to any of that here would not be permitted anyway.
I'm sure Google already answered your question about RIGG and I know I didn't get an email about this, so I find this a rather unusual first post, but I'll take the sincerity of it at face value for now.
Yeah, I shut it down finally for multiple reasons: 1) I stopped seeing any pay off to it. 2) I wanted to end any overt association to a pirating group, yes, I still believe in the abandonware philosophy, but still. Strict places would refuse to link to you. Also, I wanted to focus on fan translation work and get away from some of the psychos that I met in that situation...didn't quite work out though... 3) Doing all that work, preparing quality rips, mastering the process, going through FTP hammering when you ran a server, all for a rather thankless public in general, I got tired of it all, etc. I saw how Aaron created a lively forum here with cool members, and it didn't involve giving out free stuff, so I felt I had the wrong formula...
So yeah, you get the idea. It's interesting to know some people are here that hung around it. I didn't know Bigus knew me from there. Well, it wasn't all bad though, I did meet some interesting people, had some good times, and it set some things into motion. For example, Stephen Harris or Tenchi-no-ryu, who recruited me into the group, introduced me to the world of PC imports, specifically Falcom and Ys I&II Complete. I didn't know anything about that before meeting him, I thought Ys had ended on the Turbo Duo with Ys IV... After leaving RIGG, he owned and ran RPGFan.com for a few years. You might know him from there. So yeah, he's the reason I started translating Falcom import games of the Ys series.
Well, I guess the answer to your question is that some of us from RIGG are right here, myself included. Keranu is also here, another veteran of that time.
