These look really good, thank you for making them!  (Even if it was a while back and I'm late to the party)  What's the ideal kind of card stock for printing these on?  I've had a couple of my old games and music CDs have the inserts shrivel/wrinkle up due to cheap paper and I'm sure moisture just from living in swampy Maryland.

I laser print on 110lb card stock (no gloss) and lightly score the bend line for a nice, crisp corner.

Thanks, I'll try that!

The stock on real SCD inserts isn't very heavy. I think the waviness problem is that most consumer printers use too much ink (more $$ for Epson). I printed mine at Kinkos on regular gloss.  Looks great, feels almost like the real thing, and no warping or waviness since 2008.

The only waviness I've really noticed lately is a Legendary Axe manual I have, none of my Japanese games have this problem and all still look pretty great.  I can't seem to find my Alien Crush (I'll be heartbroken if I can't find it!) and Keith Courage box but I wonder if it's just a deal with early US game manuals.  My Blazing Lazers looks alright, not perfectly crisp but pretty good shape.  Trying to flatten the Legendary Axe one under a pile of books right now.

Some of my old Son May CD inserts have collapsed in on themselves, too, so I figure it's just what quality paper you choose.

Can't find your Keith Courage box?  Don't worry, no one else can find theirs either.
All is well. :)

Holy shite! This would actually be a fun project: design a cardboard box for Keith Courage.

OK, I'm easily amused. Still, I actually like the comic-book style art for KC. I think the package design could look really kool. Too kool for the actual game, in fact.

Oops, I meant the manual, not the box.  Pretty sure there was a manual.  I know it didn't come with a box.

Yes, Keith had instruction manual, comic book, and a round sticky-sticker (instead if a plastic clip) to hold the HuCARD inside the jewel box.

I got my copy with the original TG-16, I can't remember exactly because it's gone MIA and I'm kinda wondering where it is.  It's been a while but I remember having it in a jewel case like the rest of my games.  I don't remember the sticker you are talking about but you make me wanna find that comic again!

Now Ninja Spirit, which if you bought separately surely had it's own box.  But I remember pretty clearly that you got only the card and the manual with the TurboDuo.

^^ almost brought a tear to my eye.

I was lucky enough to find a truly complete Keith Courage locally back in '09. I still need to read the comic. Sadly there is a big sticker on the front of the jewel case. Sounds like I need to get the hair dryer out.

Be careful with the hair dryer. Just ask Bernie.
