I think I would also be in for the group buy. I'm just stupid when it comes to the everdrive so, does that come with the SD card? And how easy is it to load up every game? (because every everdrive i see has what looks to be like most if not all games)

I read something about not being able to use the loader with a Mac?  Is that still true?  I could always get the .roms and use a buddies computer.

It uses standard micro SD, so why would it need a special loading program?

The micro SD card you'll buy yourself; any of the sellers/resellers charge an extra shitty markup for them and they're dirt cheap nowadays. All you need is a minimum 2 GB micro SD ($3-$4) and that'll cover the 300 MB+ of the entire HuCard ROM library. Bernie has the whole thing well organized and ready to share via PM when ready.

The thing is, a Group Buy needs a leader, it's been organized here before for the SNES flash cart:

https://www.pcenginefx.com/forums/index.php?topic=16576.0

The OP later realized the work/hassle involved and withdrew, only for BlueBMW to take over and save the day.

I described how it works here:

https://www.pcenginefx.com/forums/index.php?topic=16576.msg345144#msg345144

It looks like we can probably round up at least 10 people who haven't bought it yet. But... who is willing to be the leader on it ? That's the thing. We could ask BlueBMW again, but he's already got the SNES buy that hasn't yet been done to my knowledge.

1) Buy minimum 2 GB microSD card with SD adapter to fit in your computer's normal SD slot.
2) Format card to FAT32.
3) PM Bernie for well organized HuCard ROM collection, probably archived in ZIP or whatever.
4) Unzip archive, copy to the root of the microSD card, eject.
5) Insert card in the TurboEverdrive and give it a shot on whatever NEC console!!!

Easy as pie, or should be, even with a Mac! ;)

Unless you're one of those corkys that can't unzip on a mac.

I wasn't too worried about the SD card I was just asking, so thanks for the information.

So did they even order them yet or are they just waiting on them by now?

Even if there isn't a leader yet, maybe we could start a thread and get a list of people going.

I'm not worried about the SD card you clowns.  :P  What am I thinking of then?  I remember reading about some loader program than needed to be used that wasn't compatible with Mac?  Damn!!!  I know it was Turbob related.

You're thinking of all the other pre-Everdrive models of flash carts that had to be flashed with Windows PC programs. There is no loader software with Everdrive, just copy'n'paste of ROM files on a FAT32-formatted microSD card.

it's just drag and drop files on to sd card, so simple and the best way

it's not like older and unreliable rom loader flash carts, no need any iTunes style loader management for this

"Classic Style" http://shpws.me/q6MW
"Super Low Profile Style" http://shpws.me/q6MX

(taken from the maker here)

Is anyone in the UK interested in these? They want nearly 9 Euros for postage. I was thinking I could order a few, and re-send them in the UK for about £1 each.

€9 for postage is ridiculous, for something that weights sweet FA. :x
