WTB: TG-16 Common Games. Loose or CIC
« on: March 26, 2014, 06:15:05 AM »
Looking to buy NTSC-US  TG-16 Games (common and maybe not so common) in lots.  Yes even TV sports games.  They can be loose or CIC but I have some decent cash right now and I am looking to build up my library fast.  Please PM me or link me to your FS thread if you have any games for sale.

I am looking for PCengine hu and cd games too, but only if they are cheap- I want to focus on the North american games mostly.

I have already bought from keith courage (hope he can vouch for me as my payment is very fast) and I have bought some games off another member but I have not received them yet so I will not say his name.

Specific games I am looking for:

Splatterhouse
Ys 1 and 2

I use paypal.

Thanks- looking forward to getting some games!

Corey

Hey everyone,

I am a new member. I found this site VIA Nintendoage, from a member whose username here is Red Ghost (I guess he sponsored me).

I am looking to buy a Pcengine duo, to get into playing the games on this system (mainly shmups).

I will need a controller and cords, and I am not too concerned about it being modded (if it is, great!)

I have a 30 successful transactions on Nintendo age (same username) over 260 100% feedback on ebay, and I am a paypal verified member. If you would like to know anymore please message me.

I would like to see your references as well and hopefully pics too. I have paypal money ready and waiting to pick up one of these amazing consoles.

Thanks for reading.

Welcome aboard.  I've nothing to sell, but here's some free/unrequested advice: you might have better luck finding a PCE Duo/R/RX; it'll likely be cheaper, even with a region mod.

Were you specifically looking for a US model system, or just a system that plays US model games?

I don't have one for you, but there's one for sale at the retro gaming store by my place for $650. Boxed (omg rarez!). If you'd like their contact, I can hook you up. I'm in Canada too, so it'll be cheaper if you're American because of our lousy dollar.

If you are just looking for a system that plays US model games, I have a Turbo Grafx setup with CD system, region converter, and Arcade Pro card along with controllers and games. PM me for more details if you are interested.

Welcome to the club! :D

The Turbo truly is an amazing console, one of the most underrated ever, and considering the fact that you like shmups, I have a feeling that you'll love it. There are many excellent shooters for the system, many of them exclusive to it. Definitely look for the following:

-Blazing Lazers (HuCard)
-Gate of Thunder (Super CD)
-Lords of Thunder (Super CD)
-Star Soldier series (HuCard)

Those are just a few of the very best (that I've played). There are many others that will be worth your time. And, of course, there are many other different genres of games to play.

Still, I recommend you at least consider looking for a Japanese system. The PC Engine (as the Turbo was known over there) was much more popular there and will most likely be easier to find. They're also easy to get modded to play both American and Japanese HuCards (CD games are not region locked). If you're looking for an American Turbo Duo, you might be looking for a while, especially if you're looking for a good price.

Thanks for coming here! I hope your stay is long, yet pleasant.

I have a junk pce duo I haven't gotten around to fixing up yet.  Hit me up in about a month or so and I may have it ready.

Just a model that plays us games.

There are a few people here who offer modification services. The far less expensive route than buying a US system would be to buy a PC Engine Duo either via ebay, or a Japanese seller like GameOfJapan or from someone on the forum and have the card slot modded and have the caps changed as the system (US and Japan units alike) are known to have leaky capacitors which can cause problems.

I know Keith Courage here on the forums is getting a PCE Duo R in soon. He can region mod it for you so you'd have your options wide open. I would contact him, his price was pretty reasonable. Or if you do wind up getting your hands on one you could always contact him for a region mod.

I just need to figure out how to store loose hu cards........
