Been playing around with lately and found out that I completely had to readjust my drive in order for it to play back the FMVs *mostly* without issues.
There are points in the game however, where I can hear an unusual noise (read error, I´ve grown to hate that sound...) and then the game just stops. Usually this happens ie before or during the "motorcycle" scene, where you drive down the road and listen to coolman. And it is always with the same scenes! When I look at the CD there are no scratches whatsoever at the portion where the laser gave up, either before or after.
Some other issue: all videos befor play fine, and then one would start out fine and suddenly freeze in the middle of it because of a read error (usually accompanied with a brief screeching sound from the speakers).
CD is fine, minor scratches (2-3, nothing to worry about though cause not deep or serious).
I ***reallyreallyreally*** adjusted the hell out of the drive (new caps, new laser with now 100+ hours of gameplay) and this is the max I can get (though way better than before). All other games would load fine before and after the new adjustment.
Is there someone with a fix to this, has experienced this him/herself, or do I have to live with that?
