Something for the kids
« on: May 23, 2014, 07:22:56 AM »
Hey everyone, My wife asked I anyone would be interested in some video game themed hand made clothes for the kiddies. She has made our son a bunch of things and they turn out real cool. The current pattern she is making is Galaxian, She has enough material to make 2 or 3 more sets (not sure on exact number but will ask her tonight) She would like to $18 for each piece. I have some pictures of what she made for our son. If interested in this or another pattern let me know and I will post pics of the other patterns she has.

Fixed!

That's Galaxian, not Galaga! But I still heartily approve. I don't have any little tykes just yet, but if I did, I would definitely get them some of those.

Yes you are correct, I had to go back and look at it. Never let a novice gamer chick tell you what game it is lol.

She can do a "romper" it's sorta like a onesie. Attached a pic for you. They are not newborn in the pic but she has the newborn patterns.

This is the one she did for our son. That's him wearing it. She made him a hooded one but hates doing it lol. It is a two piece set and it's a 2T (my son is huge) at 10 months.

Once lol, I have been divorced for a long time. My current woman and I don't need to be married, we are happy the way we are. If it ain't broke, don't fix it.

well you started with..."my wife"
im just kidding anyway.  as a parent of twins...i can attest, its very difficult to find cool kids clothes.  unless you want to spend stupid money for something they will wear maybe twice, its all the same.

Yes your right, although common law marriage is no more. She might as well be my wife, we have been together for a good many years and own a home together along with a couple of bikes ect... so yeah my wife :-).

The whole reason she started making them was, she couldn't find any good boys outfits, (everything was girls) so we went out and got her a 600 dollar sewing machine and surger  and she went to town :-) When she came across some cool video game fabric and made our son that outfit I thought it was the coolest thing. She has other fabric with Nes controllers and the like on it also. But yeah that's the idea and now she would like to pass it to other gamer parents for their kids. She also said to mention she would do a board special price too. $15 + shipping for the "rompers" and $18 + shipping for each piece of the others (I.E. Top $18 Bottoms $18) as they use much more fabric than the newborn stuff does.

Thanks for the interest guys, it makes her feel good about what she does :-) and keeps her out of my hair for a few hours.

Time for a splatter house run through.
