Isnt Snatcher a super cd game?  Did it ever get released outside of japan for the pc engine?  I sort of want to play the chibi mx verson one day.

We get around one of these threads each week, usually without any specific preferences and while glancing on my phone, I thought this was the last one people were kind of responding to (so i listed games I really like that aren't usually suggested).

Since you made the effort to narrow down what you can play and are interested in, here are some of the best most-bang-for-your-buck gaijin-friendly HuCard games:

TG-16:

Aeroblasters
Bloody Wolf
Dragon's Curse
Cadash
Neutopia
Dungeon Explorer
Final Lap Twin
Military Madness
Devil's Crush
Alien Crush
Bonk's Adventure
Bonk's Revenge
Legendary axe
Bomberman
Crater Maze
Galaga '90
Ninja Spirit
R-Type
BlaZing LaZers
Cyber Core
Dead Moon
Sidearms
Space Harrier
Victory Run

PCE:

Parodius Da!
Gradius
Salamander
Detana Twinbee
Afterburner II
Altered beast
Blue Blink
Batman
Be Ball
Bikkuriman World (Wonderboy II)
Bomberman '93
Bomberman '94
Columns
Daisenpu
Don Doko Don
Download
Dragon Saber
Final Soldier
Super Star Soldier
Image Fight
Kyukyoku Tiger
Operation Wolf
Populous
Zipang

You can get most of these for under $20 if you know how to shop. The few that can go as high as $30 are worth it. Holding out for "complete" copies can make many of these no longer a good value.

However, it's much more worthwhile not to waste any money on a handful of HuCards and instead save up for a CD setup. If you're impatient in the meantime, the Turbo Everdrive is the best way to go and you can then at least make an informed choice before purchasing any hard copies.

This list really helps.

I saw a picture of a cool side scrolling adventure game that looked like a monk shooting blue balls at a bunch of Japan scary stuff.  Anyone know what I am talking about?  It was the very first image used in the thread for screen shoot name that game thread?

I think you may be talking about Jigoku Meguri (aka Bonze Adventure).

bonk does dallas special, mustachioed asses under bridges, night ass, ass-ass-ass, them butts special, special butt special, vanilla strawberry taste of hump, and ghost manor 2: more butts than you can shake your ass at.

Aww yeah, I love ass-ass-ass!

Oh I thought it was a racing title. Shouldn't have assumed based on title.

It is a racing title.  With an RPG mode.  You encounter random races instead of fights.  And you build up your race car using money from winning races (and get special parts from beating local race champions).  It's awesome!

Not sure if expanding the joke is needed or if you are adding to it.
