I'm not going to bother searching for previous discussions, but it's a fact that some (not all) games have problems with extension cords placed between the tap and systems.

I have had amazingly bad luck with taps.  I still have the paperwork where I send a bad tap back to NEC in 1990 to have it repaired.

If he does a full blown AVGN episode on the Turbo, or starts covering the games regularly, prices are really
get out of hand..

Prices have already got out have hand, we're in an era when Darkwing Duck sells for over a $100.

Agreed. AVGN, at times, simply sucks at playing games. Saw him playing Lester the Unlikely (which, honsetly, is not that bad a game) on the SNES as if he were blindfolded and getting stung by giant hornets that secreted opium from their stingers. It was just bad.  ](*,)
My past-life would've surely led to our demise, and I had left it not a moment too soon. Our escape, though dangerous, had gone well. The train ride, sunlight, and passing snow-covered pine trees came together in a flickering show of our bright, new future together. Her head rested on my shoulder as she soundly slept to the gentle rocking of the passenger car. We felt freedom. We felt peace.

.  Oh I agree 100%, but it will probably get even worse.

Really Galam.... Really? Lol have you been in a bubble the last 8 years? You should check him out. Really funny shit. I wouldn't consider them serious reviews, cause he rips even decent games. Buts its good for lulz.

Look at it this way:  If it ever gets really, really nuts you can just load up your everdrive, sell all the physical games off and buy a nice new house.

I actually sometimes use the multi tap as a sort of extension for the controller, it's not much but it gives it a little extra length.

How do you be a video game nerd, yet never have played the Turbo?  I mean serisously.  It's been out before the Genesis and Super Nintendo, but you never played it before?  That's plenty of time from then till now to find one and play it if you heard so many good things about it.  Now, about 25 years later it's "Hey lets get into the Turbo and do some reviews on youtube so everyone knows we hardcore about Turbo ."  I just don't get these youtube game review channels.

.  I think AVGN never covered the turbo because it doesn't appeal to as broad of an audience. He's trying to maximize traffic and fandom, so the nes, Genny, and SNES are mainstays. On the other hand, he has covered crap like the 5200, and the coleco and intellivisions, which most gamers have probably not played.

It started out funny because. It was the first (high production) self made you tube video when it came out. He even got to go on Storage G4 when it was in its hay day in his nerd persona.

I enjoy the stuff he does when he is not in character and is speaking as a fan and general gamer who wants to discuss or share a game system or series

What I never understood was how the stuff he reviews or touchs on jumps in price when its usually junk or such a poor representation of a system I.e. sega cd that it still jumps in price for those of us actually interested in said system game or series.

But yes it is that mass appeal mass consumerism mass "shit load of f*cks" and toilet humor that the tweens teens and 20 somethngs crave .......

Sometimes I wish I could turn into a giant fist and punch a hole through the earth....

. I disagree with it being marketed towards teens tweens. I think its appeals to the folks like us that grew up playing the shit, and appreciate/ identify with the frustration.

I would think that Classic Game Room would do more for the price of games than AVGN. I definitely have seen games on Chrontendo/Chronturbo and thought man that seems cool, I want to go buy it.

This I would agree.... I find marks reviews and general views on classic gaming as a while to be very alike my own.....then I see a review of a game I never knew existed then I go on the hunt.....

There are things mark does that have begun to anoy me .... For example how he will (as of recent) take a game and pretend to insert it in a diffent system not related...it was funny..then it was cute...now it is simply done to death......

But over all the guy is just like able..and watching the stuff he did for fun with his college friend from before the Internet or YouTube is interesting ..

It is after all how I learned of Truxton

It's interesting that Mike is usually the better player than James. I'm not sure how they were having trouble jumping over those spikes. Just hold the jump button down. Makes me think that a turbo switch might have been on and Mike figured out to turn it off. Hope Mike's Duo has new capacitors or the audio and other things will start going to shit pretty soon. Replacing caps on those is mandatory. Same with the Turbo Express. We've gotta change out Dave's Duo caps next week and give it s-video so that all of the Turbo recording on Game Sack won't fall on me. Doing his NES tonight.

Kinda entertaining to watch someone play through a fairly popular turbo game for the first time.
