Well guys, I broke down, I bought Devils Crush complete, Neutopia complete, Neutopia II, but the case isn't legit, dragons Curse manual and card in a Keith courage case, and complete monster lair for $400, how ripped off did I get?? XD

Your obey-card has been revoked.

Look around and be patient.

This.

I'm sadly limited to ebay almost exclusively....I've seen all of 4 turbo items in the wild in the past 5 years and two of the four were Keith Courage.  :x

I'm just getting into Turbo collecting so I'm not super picky (held off due to the cost and lack of local availability for a while) and found an ok beginner/commons lot recently, almost all in case with instructions:

Battle Royale
China Warrior
Double Dungeons
King of Casino
Power Golf
Yo Bro
Keith Courage (chip only)

For 65$ shipped. I had Power Golf and Keith already so that was really only 5 games for 65$. May not be the best but I can live with 13$ per game as I just don't have many other options and am anxious to build my collection right now.

BTW I have ordered from the above mentioned Collector's Cards and Games before....very nice guy, slow as hell to get your stuff or even a response some times.

Do you ride GOLDEN spinners?

Don't know what obey is, but at least the five games I picked up are all really really good games, and that's what its all about right lol??

Please, just use common sense when looking to acquire new games of the Turbo persuasion, k? Don't let your funds burn a whole in your ass wallet. Eff.

"Obey"  is the movie where Rowdy Roddy Piper and the other guy fight for 5 minutes in an alley.

It's a great idea for a movie, worked well for a while, but for me, fell apart.

It's not, "The Thing".

Good idea, though. They Live.

It definitely sucks spending so much cash, but at least I'm not an a$$hole reseller, I play because I love retro consoles, the games are much better than most crap being produced today and NEC consoles were grossly underrated back in the day, the games were beautiful, they were fun, I don't really regret it, where else will I find awesome NEC games I really want to enjoy without waiting who knows how long for an incredible deal??
I don't emulate either lol.

Thanks to Buzblaze for the sell and the copy of DS that is damaged but may play through with a resurfacing. At the very least I got Forgotten Worlds today.

The best I've ever found, I have bought a lot over the years, I can't say enough good things:

Some good prices on that site for sure!

OT:  Jeez, I actually went and ordered some Jaguar games from that guy, after taking a huge dump on the Jaguar in Console Chat...  The games are titles I used to have, and wouldn't mind playing again...

Ha! Nope--I don't even care about hubcaps, let alone rims.

Comrade, just be patient. That's all folks are saying. Even if you are independently wealthy, your money would be better spent supporting indie project than going to profiteers on eBay.

Like I said elsewhere, if I were just getting into it, I'd be flash cart... most the way :).

Yes, I agree with estaban. You have to be patient.

You can get deals but you have be actively looking in more than one place, building relationships with collectors, and know what your budget is for each title. Stick to it!

Yeah, I’ve spent a lot on TG games, but I know that I’ve done my homework and it becomes pretty easy to determine if what you are seeing is worth it or not. Remember, the seller wants your money, so talk him down. He knows if he’s asking $200 for a game valued at $100, he’s not likely to get it….unless you buy it from him at $200. Then the message is clear. He can get $200. That may lead to prices going up if enough people shell out that same $200. That is bad for all of us.

Even at eBay prices $400 seems high for that lot of games.

Nah, I don't use eBay, I like finding the stuff, and private sellers, he just had five games I really really wanted to play, I didn't think $400 was too too much for Devils crush, Neutopia, Neutopia II, Dragons Curse and Monster Lair, I might have saved fifty bucks waiting a year and picking them up from people dumping there collection but to me I get to play awesome games now, and got it for cheaper than eBay lol.
Also I play all my stuff on original hardware, software, controllers and all that, feels more genuine to me.
I figured Neutopia II usually went for around $200 anyways, all I saw on eBay was a loose HuCard and it was $200 by itself for some reason lol.
I'm sure listening and reading all your guys knowledge will make me a pro in no time though.

dude, i know you are trying...but you are the textbook example of what is wrong with the turbo scene.
paying absurd prices (regardless of where) for the GOTTA HAVE IT NOWWWWW!
paying private sellers that kind of money is actually worse.  they dont have to pay the ebay fees and they dont have the audience and reach that ebay has.  you are letting these pricks laugh at you all the way to the bank.  but hey, you got devils crush now.  whoop-dee-do.
when you finish neutopia II, let me know.
