Splatterhouse, Keith Courage, and star parodier are one their way.

I also picked up just now Dragon Slayer and YS III at a local game store which had a bunch for PCE games and only 2 English titles.

I paid $100 for Dragon Slayer and 68 for YS III.  I checked ebay prices and it seems to be a good 30+ cheap for both of these.  Did I do good?

Also, what is a JP version of Cotton worth  They have one there I could get for 65?

They've been selling for less on eBay lately, so yeah, the local game store did do very well.

Hmm, where are you seeing that it's cheaper than 100 for the US version?

NM, so the median price is 106, so paid a little under that.

People posting their pick ups and price asking if they bought at a good price feels very Nintendo Age IMO

What do you want me to do?

I get it I have not been collecting turbo stuff for over 20 years like a lot of you, but there is nothing I can do about that now, so asking if it's a good deal from people who know is helpful to me. I'm pretty damn frugal with my money, so spending a lot of money kills me.

I'm just trying to find good games and good deals so I can pop em in and enjoy.

Believe me, in the past month I've been going all around the city looking for TG16 stuff, from Flea markets, Thrift Stores, and Garbage sales.  I check Ebay and see what the price that are non BiN go for, so I do my homework when buying stuff before I shell out money.

Why are you caring about his opinion? It doesn't really matter, do whatever it is you do, enjoy the "Art" of the hunt for games. Good luck.

Don't waste everyone's time, including your own.  It's obvious that you've already made up your mind that it was a fair deal, so why ask our opinion and then argue when someone says it's not?

Agreeing with Necro here.  I have as a less experienced collector posted in discussion sub-threads to ask what the perceived value of an item or bundle was. As that was at the point where I was contemplating buying it but really questioned what was a fair price, versus the more typical eBay/reseller gouger price. I've used feedback from the more experienced Obeyers to either negotiate harder, walk away, or pickup the given item. But if you've already made that decision and purchased the item .. you've already decided it's fair price "for you". So don't really get the need to come and have others validate or debate it afterwards. Just my 2cents. Maybe start a new thread/topic call "So, did I get screwed or what ?"

i dont think anyone has a problem with you asking what you should pay if they think you are doing it as a last resort.  you should lead us to believe that you have exhausted all of the internet, not coming here first.

this is already been said, but if you havent looked at sold auctions (preferably not BIN) on ebay and pricecharting.com as a minimum, please do so first.  ebay is the only consistent market determined price for these types of things (auctionsonly , not BIN... just because someone got lucky with a low BIN because the seller didnt know what it was worth, does not determine true price)

exceptions to this can be made for some of the rarer titles that dont come up for sale as often

I notice I didn't post my earlier pickups in the right section (should have gone in the PC Engine tab). Any reason why the site is so fragmented? No Knock or anything, just an honest question - I love the fact that most people here seem older than the usual video game message board crowd (37 here) and that they are very knowledgeable.

P.S. One last thing: I might have purchased a modded Duo-R (for reliability reasons, basically), but the Turbo Duo is hands on the coolest looking NEC console. It is up there with the Super Famicom/PAL Super Nintendo as the most beautiful console out there... IMO of course.

Lucky for you then, that the identical PC Engine Duo is the cheapest Duo system of all. :)

Yes... in hindsight that's probably the version I should have gone after since I don't intend to purchase any US cards.

Here is my haul for the weekend. Picked everything here up as a bundle for 250. Not great, but not too bad either! The bulk of the price came from Soldier Blade and Super Star Soldier though. The owner of the store I get them from is long time friend, so I always get hooked up luckily. Now my problem is that I don't know what to play...  ](*,)

It's not quite identical.  The all black sexiness of the US Duo is better looking than the purple and teal of the PCE Duo.
