Your Favorite Sitcom Dads
« on: June 17, 2014, 03:06:02 PM »
Father's Day has come and gone, but as far as sitcoms go, which dads have left a memorable impression upon you?
My past-life would've surely led to our demise, and I had left it not a moment too soon. Our escape, though dangerous, had gone well. The train ride, sunlight, and passing snow-covered pine trees came together in a flickering show of our bright, new future together. Her head rested on my shoulder as she soundly slept to the gentle rocking of the passenger car. We felt freedom. We felt peace.

Archie Bunker is my all-time favorite sitcom dad. Of course, he has the advantage of being on the best sitcom ever. ;)

Also, Mike Brady. He seemed like the perfect dad.

Easy. MWC without question. Just seeing the thread title i knew my answer. Absolutely the best sitcom ever, hands down. You can lock this thread and everybody else can just shut the f*ck up. Pointless to name anything else. The entire internet was just dominated. Shut it down.

I like to pretend that he survives the final battle with Robocop, escapes and changes his name to Red Forman to settle down and start a family... :3

Stacy Keach's performance as Ken Titus in 'Titus' was absolutely perfect. Abrasive, yet so totally lovable.

A few Ken Titus quotes:

Young Chris Titus: Dad, teacher said we could be anything we wanted to be.
Ken Titus: She wasn't talking to you, son. Now go in the backyard and practice digging some holes.

Ken wins at a Blackjack table, with a black dealer
Ken Titus: Will you look at that. First time a black man ever gave me money!

Ken Titus: You don't drag a woman out of a strip club. You put a twenty in your zipper and back out slowly.

Heh, Al Bundy and Red Forman are good ones.  One of my favorites is Micheal Bluth, though there's something to be said about the inept douchebaggery of George Sr., GOB, and Tobias as well.
