Bubble bobble port for the PCE (What happened to the it)
« on: June 23, 2014, 02:42:51 PM »
hi does anyone have any ideas what happened to this port of Bubble Bobble, it looked like there was a really good start made on it, but then just nothing

I'd like to play it for one, anyone else with me on that?

I'd totally pick up a copy if it was produced somehow. Would look nice on my shelf next to Parasol Stars

Yeah, didn't Rainbow Islands and Liquid Kids also come out?  I bet Bubble Bobble would have turned out nicely on the PCE.   Parasol Stars is one of my true TG-16 loves, I wish the label hadn't deteriorated so much.  It's my original copy from the 90's but time hasn't been kind to the spine label.

Yeah, Rainbow Islands is a CD, pretty spot on including the original soundtrack sampled from the arcade game, but, really didn't need to be CD.  Liquid Kids is a Huey.  It's nice, but I do feel like it could've been slightly more faithful, like with the darkening of the skies , & what seems like simple to do parallax in some area's.
