Post office always told me, mags cant go media since they have "advertisements".
Not sure why that matters.

You're such a good guy. I would tell them its books, and take my chances. Slim Chance that they'll open it and check.

yeah...i thought of that.  problem is, if it did get caught and sent back, im on the hook to mail it again properly.
also, buyers seem to be more and more cry babies on ebay if something doesnt arrive in two days.  but thats a soapbox for another day.

So yesterday I was reading Vol 48 and the following games sparked my interest.  A few already known by me, a few that left a ? as I had never heard of them before.

SNES:

Batman Returns
The Lost Vikings
Shadowrun
Kendo Rage
Super Turrican
Final Fight 2

unknown:

Bizyland
Obitus
Rocky Rodent
Run Saber (is that the cannon dance?)
Trooddlers
Super Buster Bros.
Equinox

and one GB game:

Great Greed

Anyone have any input on these games?

Batman Returns is a good beat'em up. The bad guys can get a little redundant, but that's pretty typical for the genre.

Lost vikings is fun too. I think Gamesack reviewed that one.

Dude!

Super Buster Bros. On SNES is fun.

Equinox is loved/hated....if you played Solstice on NES back in the day then you gotta try Equinox.

Not sure why that matters.

It matters because it's supposed to be educational materials only.

I don't think a media parcel gets sent back right away.  I though the receiving PO holds it until the recipient pays the extra postage, or eventually it gets sent back.  The PO near me is normally fine about sending just about anything "close enough" as media, but I try to avoid it as a takes forever and stuff seems to get more beat up going that way.

Bizyland---I couldn't figure how to play it.

Obitus--crappy puzzle game

Rocky Rodent--Have not played

Run Saber--Fun action game sort of like Hagne but ALOT easier.

Trooddlers--boring actionish puzzler.

Super Buster Bros---recommended.  It's the same as Buster Bro's for the Turbo but has different levels.  Fun action puzzler.

Equinox-have not played

My 2 cents (Which I will be forced to round down due to Canadian law now that we discontinued pennies)

I have actually played most of these games.  My thoughts are as follows:

Cacoma Knight in Bizyland - an enjoyable puzzle game.  I give it a solid B+
Obitus - I don't remember ever playing this game.
Rocky Rodent - looks like an average forgettable platformer, but is actually a pretty good (if still forgettable) platformer.  I give it an A-
Run Saber - a quite enjoyable 2-player simultaneous Strider imitation platformer.  I give it an A+
Troddlers - an average puzzle/platformer hybrid.  I give it a B-
Super Buster Bros. - a very fun 1-player-only puzzle game which was also released with a 2-player simultaneous option on Turbo-CD.  I give it an A+
Equinox -  a funnish, isometric 3D, action/puzzle hybrid game.  I give it a B

Great Greed - a very fun RPG game for Game Boy.  This game has some hilarious moments.  I have beat this game, and I should to play this through again.  I give it an A+

Shout out to Golom for some of those magazines.

Great transaction and basically at cost for shipping. Made for fun reading over the weekend.

I just picked up the Nintendo Fun Club magazine (Vol 4) with Mike Tyson on the cover.  After Doc yelling my ear like a maniac during my childhood, I figured it was fitting that I track one of those down and see if it actually would have helped my case against Mike Tyson and the mauling he gave me all those years back.
