You can mix JP and US games on the same SD card.

how big should the sd cards be?

1GB should be more than enough. It's ok to use bigger cards though.

To the few people who contacted me about another group buy, I'm sorry it didn't happen. I got busy with life stuff and it's getting towards a time where I wouldn't be too sure where I could ship them to with confidence that they wouldn't sit around and get banged up (last thing anyone wants is a broken Everdrive). So it would just be a bit of a hassle.
