Not a big fan of either person mentioned but I dont think thats the real issue.  What I am truly dismayed by is the amount of vitriol you see from people these days directly at any of these politicians.  I see completely ignorant and downright disgusting posts on things like facebook etc from people on both sides.  Have we truly degraded that far as a society?  Certainly Obama deserves some or even a lot of the criticism he receives but at the end of the day he is still the elected POTUS and that is a position that demands a certain dignity and respect regardless of whether you agree with his actions or not.  Even if what critics say about him were completely true the way in which critics go about voicing their disagreement is truly shameful.

For the record I lean a bit left.  Social issues do not concern me but economic ones do.  I believe unrestrained corporations are the greatest threat to freedom and liberty we have ever faced.  If you disagree then let us discuss with civility.

Yep!  95% of voters fall into three categories: left, right, and don't give a shit.  Those on the left think everything done by Obama is awesome and beyond reproach, and those on the right think everything he does is wrong no matter what.  It's sad.
