I'm constantly stopping at thrift stores and flea markets looking for video games. Been checking stores for about 8 years but really only started focusing on games the past 3 or so. Have found games for many systems and the consoles themselves but never anything TG related. Any of you guys find anything good out there?

I know what you mean. I been going to the Washington Heights flea market in Manhattan for years. NES, SNES, SEGA and pretty much anything else available in used form, spread all over the parking lot in armies. No TurboGrafx at all tho. Never seen it there.

I have bought a bunch of Turbo stuff in the wild so to speak. In fact my first Turbo system came from the wild as did half my collection.

The only big deal I ever got  was a CIB Turbografx system with a CIC Splatterhouse and loose Bonk's Revenge off Kijiji for $85.

Then from local game stores I have grabbed:

All CIC or chip in Manual if a TTi release.  I bought most of these for $30 or less.

Alien Crush
Battle Royal
Bloody Wolf
Bonk's Adventure
Bravoman
Cadash
Champions Forever Boxing
Chase H.Q.
China Warrior
Double Dungeons
Dragons Curse
Fantasy Zone
Final Lap Twin
Galaga `90
JJ & Jeff
Keith Courage
King of Casino
Legendary Axe HuCard
Moto Roader
Night Creatures
Ninja Spirit
Ordyne
Psychosis
Sidearms
Space Harrier
Takin' it to the hoop
Time Cruise
Victory Run
Vigilante
Jack Nicklaus Turbo Golf
Davis Cup
World Court Tennis
TV Sports Basketball
TV Sports Football
Legend of Hero Tonma

I've not come across any here in the San Francisco bay area. I don't look religiously, but I've checked flea markets, thrift stores and yard sales. nada.
I'm also in the SF bay area.  I haven't been to any flea markets or yard sales in years but I would assume that Turbo stuff is pretty scarce there too now days.

I just looked on Craigs List after reading this thread. Probably already gone since it was posted a few days ago, but it looks like a killer deal if its in fact legit...

That's either an amazing deal or somebody trolling to see who the other local collectors are.

Necro, I thought you wanted to play nice? If I am joking with someone, then it is just that a joke. I could care less if people think I am a collectard or not. If you don't want me to come at you with a sharp stick then don't toss stones. You like to comment on threads that I am present on and I try to make it a point not to do so on the ones you comment on. Now if a stone is cast in the water first, I will throw a stick at you. See now I was all ready to give you a hug and here we are...

Hailing, I never said that you thought I was a collectard. Others here have branded me as one. No matter though, I collect and play what I like. However I guess if you have more than one title of something or have something in the box new you are dubbed COLLECTARD! That's the way it has come across to me from others stand point....

Those who might think of you as a collectard would be less inclined to do so if you didn't exclusively post in collecting/market related threads like this, with the occasional non game-playing thread in-between.

It also doesn't help that the only two non-commerce threads you've created were titled:

Quote
Raffle Magical Chase who would..

  and

copies known to exist of magical chase?

If you really are playing your games, then why not talk about them and share your experiences?

Did you end up managing to get a copy of Magical Chase for thousands of dollars as you were working towards? If so, what do you think of the game?

You aren't being singled out or bullied or anything. If you literally only talk about nu-collecting in a game fan forum that uses the term "collectard", why wouldn't you expect to be thought of as one?

So, uhmmm...yeah. Anybody ever find a TG game in an abandoned mine, phone booth, or truck stop bathroom?

Now tiger, how did I know that you would go to old threads to comment on this one? As I said I was joking with Hailing. Yes I play my games, it does not mean I talk about doing so. I do a lot more reading on here than actually posting. You already know that I have chase. I have stated it in previous posts. Is there a chance that the second chase post was in good fun? It's all good though.

Whistling, whistling, whistling, whistling, dark, dark, dark, dark...

I love the random brass band at the end of the song. Had to be an out take that they decided to keep.

Mister, Mister, let's just talk about adventures. How close to peeing yourself did you get the first time you made it to King Drool? I, myself, came really close. Had to use the facility  (if you know what i mean) like 2 times before I could face him, just to make sure he didn't enslave my urethra and command it to release my liquid fear. Oh me, oh my. :3

You're the one that won't let it go, buttercup, and it's not much of a joke when you go on and on about not being a collectard when nobody has brought it up but yourself.  It's pretty clear your posts were a dig, but perhaps someday you'll dry your tears and move on.

But they're usually overpriced but luckily I found a few nice deals
