I was poking around with the search function and I discovered there were some old G1 Transformers posts on the boards.  I was a G1 collector; Perhaps other PCEFX members might appreciate pictures of my collection.

Short story: These were the only toys I liked as a kid before I got into consoles.  I never could part with them and they lived in two large file boxes until my 30's.  My fiancee finds out about my stash and tells me to take them out and display them.  I spent half a year finding missing fists and bots until I reached a stopping point where I was happy.  A lot of the toys are my originals from BITD, so even with the flaws, they are still special to me.  I also enjoyed some of the new 'Bay-verse' figures for a time, but I'll keep this all G1 for nostalgia.

I love it.  I had Devastator and for the life of me I cannot find it.  I know I didnt sell it because I have one of the tiny guns sitting in my desk until I can someday reunite it with its decepticon.  Shockwave was my first transformer I ever had.  Always love the jets, never had any.

I am jealous

Well, I had Metroplex, and I am amazed it has not broken in half by now.  I guess I took reasonably good care of it.  I had to re-purchase the fists, the knee protectors, and Scamper.  Six-gun is still incomplete, but I'm happy with it as-is.  Completists will notice it doesn't have a sticker set either, but hey, it is mine from back then (rubber tire version).

I never had Omega Supreme as a kid, there is no way it would ever be complete now.  OS was a lucky Ebay auction; it looked complete but was listed as non-working.  Most of them have a worn out internal drum style part, but this one just had an internal connector that had gotten disconnected.  I was overjoyed when I got it working and it actually walked.  Or...wobbled.  Once I had all of the motorized TFs I had a race and OS was dead last.

FM is an adult pieced-together-for-too-much purchase also.  I still don't have Spike, there are so many fakes around and, with the re-release, it's a money pit.  A tall money pit that could sit on anything else.  I sprang for a full reproduction sticker set for it.  At least it is vintage and not smokers yellow like some others I've seen.

It's amazing how expensive these were back in the '80s.  The new figures were very inexpensive in comparison.

I am glad some are appreciating this thread

Good grief, I had like 1/10 that many TF's!  My first was Huffer, so I have a special love for him.  I even ordered the 3rd party Masterpiece versions of him & Pipes http://tfsource.com/products/view/product_id/7817/

BTW, if you're interested in fixing up the stickers on your TF's, try reprolabels.com as they have a lot of sets!

So, let's see, in the first pic I identify:
Abominus, Galvatron, Menasor, Gnaw, Cyclonus, Scourge, Misfire, Thrust, Thundercracker, Skywarp, Starscream

Next pic:
Bruticus, Triggerhappy, Slugslinger, Shockwave, Skullcruncher, Wierdwolf, Snapdragon, Venom, Apeface,  Reflector, Barrage, Runabout

Next:
Devastator, Scorponok, Octane, Lazerbeak, Ratbat, Bombshell, Kickback, Fasttrack, Astrotrain, Blitzwing, Frenzy(or Rumble, but I call him Frenzy thanks to the cartoons colors), Ravage, Slugfest, Soundwave & Buzzsaw I assume in Soundwaves chest?

Next: Chromedome, Hardhead, Sky Lynx, Piranacon, Brainstorm, Highbrow, Ransack, Blurr, Kup, Springer, Rodimus Prime, Overdrive(almost thought it was Sideswipe, but didn't look quite right), Battletrap, Flywheels

Next:
Defensor, Whirl(never realized how big the original Whirl was), Blaster, Ramhorn, Steeljaw, Eject, Grapple, Wreck-gar, Sandstorm, Metroplex, Huffer(YAY!), Scamper, Sixgun(in his city tower form), Slammer, Cosmos, Red Alert, Tracks, Downshift, Hound, Goldbug....speaking of which, there's a 3rd party version of the Throttlebots I've been collecting that combine!  So far they've released Chase, Searchlight, & Rollbar, just waiting for the other 3 to be released, here's a pic of their combined mode

Next: Grimlock, Sludge, Sureshot, Pointblank, Crosshairs, Defensor...again, Sideswipe, Slag, Snarl, Perceptor, Doublecross, Sunstreaker, Wheeljack, Swoop, Prowl, Mirage, Skids, Smokescreen, Jazz, Trailbreaker

Speaking of the Dino', the same company that's doing the combining Throttlebots, is doing a combining Dinobots! They've teased an image

Next: Predaking, Omega Supreme, Sixshot, Jetfire, Computron(the only full cominer I had as a kid), Superion, Roadbuster, Trypticon(& Full Tilt), Fortress Maximus(I did end up getting Korean version of the Robots in Disguise Fort Max, it's manufactured by Takara, but much cheaper from Korea), Wheelie, Warpath, Sea Spray, Tailgate, Gears, Broadside, Brawn, Powermaster Prime, Ultra Magnus, Cerebro(& Spike), & an Autobot Headmaster that I can't recall...also looks like that book behind him has Optimus Primal on it...but the body is wrong, what is that book?

Really cool, this brings back so many memories for me.  I had a complete collection of G1 transformers back in 2001.  400 + toys all with their original boxes and cards and all that.  I sold it to pay my tuition.  That was the hardest thing I had ever done, but it was a good life lesson, and quite an experience.  Tom Hanks' son, the one who appeared in Dexter actually bought one of my toys from me :).

My favorites were definitely soundwave and perceptor.  Megatron is a badass, but the toy, especially when transformed in to his robot form looked awful!

You have a good eye and an even better memory.  I was a big fan of these, but I had to go through several TF ID sites to finally figure out what I had after the unboxing.

The book is a chance find at a local used bookstore.  The title of the book is "Super #1 Robot, Japanese Robot Toys, 1972-1982."  It is a book of toy porn, beautifly photographed, near perfect examples of famous series from Japan that I knew nothing about.  It is a fun book and finishes with the Robotech line (Super Dimensional Fortress Macross).

I recognized all of them, but there were a few Targetmasters I had to remind myself on, including one that I used to own(Trigger Happy).

I just got Prowl as well.  MP is one of the few lines I do purchase, though, I've avoided Sunstorm & Acid Storm since they're expensive, & weren't totally in the show.  I mean, they were, but, not really.  Acid Storm is basically one of the Rainmakers in the ep where I think Spike goes to Cybertron with the Dinobots to get something that will correct some problem the bots on earth are having, & 3 Cybertronian seekers create acid rain.  Some argue one of them was also Sunstorm, but apparently Hasbro says no it wasn't.  I do have the Classics/Universe version of Acid Storm however, along with all the other Seekers they've released for the general public(I don't have the Botcon Rainmaker set).

Anyways, back to MP, I have the original big die cast Prime along with the newer smaller one with the trailer.  I also have Megatron(not sure if they plan on doing a smaller version to match Prime), Rodimus Prime, Starscream, Thundercracker, Skywarp, Grimlock, & ofcoarse, Soundwave, Lazerbeak, Buzzsaw, Ravage, Rumble, & Frenzy!  There is an MP Ratbat, but only in Japan.  Haven't decided what to do about him.  I also got some MP tapes that Hasbro/Takara will probably never make, but a 3rd party company does.  I ordered Overkill & Slugfest, which are supposed to ship this month, & I already got Beastbox & Squawktalk who merge into Squawkbox(who were never in the show).  Here's the original toys:

I also picked up a 3rd party version of Blaster's Grand Slam & Raindance who form into Slamdance:

I'm ofcoarse looking forward to all the other MP's that are out, or coming soon, just gotta hope they get an NA release.  They've got Bumblebee, Sideswipe, Red Alert, Smokescreen, Bluestreak, & Ultra Magnus(not to mention Star Saber, really doubt he'll get a US release).

Other then MP's, I also collect G1 re-issues, the Classics/Generations line(mainly the G1 stuff, but also BW stuff as well.  I'm really looking forward to the new Combiner Wars next year!  The Arielbots & Stunticons look really nice!  I did collect some of the Prime stuff, there were some neat designs in that line.  I have all of the Alternator's aside from the 2nd Ravage, & the Rumble/Frenzy, as I never could find them instores.  I bought most of the first movie line, but I regret that, as that line is mostly cheap.  I have a lot of random bots I keep in my random bots section, some that are from Classics/Generations that are not G1 or BW.  I have all of the Animated, Armada, Energon, Cybertron, RiD, BM, & BW lines(including BW Neo).  There might a repaint or 2 I do have of those lines.  I have most the Titanium ones(the one's that transform) as well as most the Robot Heroes.  One of these days, I'll take new pics of them all, though some lines are in storage....which is why I don't collect as much as I used to! :D

Oh, I also have various 3rd party stuff.  I have all the Quintessons(well, the 5 that were made, there's a couple more from the show that no one ever made) as well as an Allicon(those bots that Kup & Hot Rod encounter on Quintessa).  As mentioned, I have the Throttlebots that have been released so far.  I have a transforming Nightbird(female robot that was reprogrammed by Megs in season 2 I believe). I also have the Constructicons & Stunticons(I forget which company made these, but they're pretty decent, especially the Constructicons.

That Guardian bot would be Omega Supreme.  I have him, but only because a friend of mine gave me him, though, he has no stickers.  IIRC, it's the original, & not a re-issue.  One of these days I should just buy the sticker set for him off reprolabels.

BTW, for any interested, there is a sweet new G1 Arcee coming along with Chromia.
